Just one problem with this.

You cannot fit the entire Season 1 onto a single VHS (SP) tape :D

I had a vhs recorder that supported extended play... Could get up to 10 hours on an E300 tape :D

I think Stranger Things has a very David Lynch / Twin peaks feel to it.

After dropping this half way through episode 1 last week Monday I revisited it on Wednesday night and finished watching on Saturday morning. I loved it. It goes right up there with Wild Palms!

Girlfriend and I watch all 8 episodes Saturday night, right into the morning!! Great series!

Watched the whole season one one sitting yesterday and it was very well done indeed.

I can almost guarantee that creators watched Super 8 and were blown away.

They probably started to find inspiration behind it and came up with this idea.

They seem quite young and would never have been exposed to the early 80's horror culture to prevalent in this series.

There's so many references to the original Poltergeist it's frightening.

Well done and let's home there's another season or few

Agreements could still be put in place.
I would be amazed if Netflix allowed this on DSTV. Its not like DSTV wants to share their content with a new rival. In fact, DSTV would probably want to see the back of Netflix.

That's a rather odd conclusion to come to. Movies don't disappear, I'm a year older than they are and I grew up watching all 80s movies. Guess I can thank the SABC for that as they never had anything new on. :D

Neither does DSTV these days :D

Just finished it, it's good. I don't like the use of CGI tho, felt it was a bit shoddy. But the story telling and setting was phenomenal.
