Yes, but not too much worthwhile besides Explore 3D in Aus. The biggest selection is in the US region (e.g. Netflix), but you'll hit geoIP blocking, so will only work if your prepared to sign up for a VPN service to get a US IP (using a router with VPN capability).Cool so I changed it to Australia... does this mean that I get more app in the SH(SmartHub)as well?
ok, so as you know I recently bought a new Samsung Smart TV (D6000 series) and I would like to watch 3D movies. I have a collection of movies in 1080P with extension .mkv
The only movies that are able to play in 3D are movies formated as 3D.x264.H-SBS.mkv... I stream these movies to the TV and then click on the 3D button and choose side by side(SBS)... work perfectly but when I do the same for the other movies I have(the 2D movies) it doesnt work and I think what is happening is that when I choose the SBS option it throws it in full sbs format
That said, I would like to know if there is a way to convert the movie I have in 1080p to beable to watch it in 3D or maybe even to convert it to h-sbs(Half-Side by side)

Sometimes they mix up encoding of the left & right eyes. Check by switching from L/R to R/L mode in 3D menu.
Unfortunately the D6000 only includes entry level 3D functionality. On the fly 2D->3D conversion is missing (so is full 1080p per eye in 3D for that matter), to get these you would need to have purchased the D6400 or above models (or PS51D550 Plasma).
Thanks for that and I am aware of the D6400 series... well to tell you the truth after calling samsung and speaking to one of the tech guy I found out so by that time it was too late lol...

As mentioned previously, it can't really be done. The effect of the 2D->3D conversion functionality found in the other TVs is in my opinion really poor and not really worth using (or incuring the additional cost).
For the proper 3D effect, the content must have been shot/created in 3D. Hollywood is though converting some older titles to 3D (e.g. Titanic & Star Wars saga) but this takes 10s if not 100s of thousands of man hours to add the 3D effects frame by frame. You can't just find some arb conversion program to replicate this.
Even though not as good as is possible, the D6000s half-res 3D at 1920x540 per eye is still pretty good, I'd say its PQ is still a bit better than LG's passive half-res as the 540p is upscaled to 1080p per eye.
Was watching my son playing one of his new PS3 3D/Move games this morning (EyePet Move Edition). Its pretty impressive watching all the technologies working in unison; augmented reality 3D graphics overlaid on top of a live camera picture, with motion controller interaction within the virtual 3D space.

No, the D6400 (& up) have uprated processors to handle 1080p 3D, 2D->3D conv & 400Hz vs. 200Hz CMR motion handling.
Ok so what you saying is that because the D6400 up has better processors and refresh rate.... what??? sorry but I dont understand what you trying to say. I can understand that there is a lot of resources required to probably do the conversion. Does this mean the 200Hz refresh rate is too low? or the processor?
FYI I just want to let you know that I found software that is really awesome... other then being able to convert 2D movies to any type of 3D format you want ie you can set it to convert to passive 3D or 3D active shutter it also has a lot of other features that is really useful like... er lets see, it supports side-by-side 3D Blu-ray format. So just to let you know I did some tests and it works... perfect!

Not compared to genuine 3D content. There is a simple way to test, compare a genuine 3D movie (sbs rip) to its 2D version converted to pseudo 3D, that should clearly illustrate the difference.
