I don't care much for the rugby it was a time I spend with my family. I mean what is more enjoyable watching the game with good friends good family and people you care about while having a braai? I mean seriously I don't think I am a mutant for wanting that. But honestly I am getting use to the sticks and stones. Have a good one.

Except you made a plan to make it work. This guy just moans and moans. He could've watched on any one of SABC on TV, SABC website, SABC+, ITVx, RugbyPass but everyone conspired to make none of those work for him. Either that or he's just too lazy to make a plan.

ask MultiChoice, I don't know what they did and didn't do. Like I said it can be a combination of things. They blocked digital broadcast. As for the net. It just was slow considering I have over 50Mbs connection it shouldn't be that slow. Tor didn't work well and is actually why I got Nord today. I just want to watch my shows live in peace.

I am not attacking you, I am not saying you are a bad person. I am not singling you out or even see you as a bad person. All I wanted was family time and good game to watch. I was denied this because of greed. Unless if you are a MultiChoice investor/owner/employee you shouldn't be this triggered.

You need a special settop box to receive the signal. Many people didn't bother to get one as they already have an Openview one and can thus whatch Sabc through that. Then MultiChoice decides that the SABC channels via Openview is not allowed to carry the rugby, thus depriving around 3 million households an easy way to watch along.

Sabc+ app not avaliable on my Ematic box and I'm then assuming it might be the same issue for other TV boxes as well. They could try downloading it on their phone to watch along, but who knows how stable the app & signal would be.
Where there is a will there's a way though.

Uhm well MC decided that the SABC could not broadcast their normal SABC2 signal on Openview (the platform most people get their free to air digital signal from now) that's a punishment.

Terrestrial signals needs an additional aerial, which most people again bipassed by the satellite dish they already had on their roofs and an Openview decoder. MC is being petty.

But sound off on how people are complaining for no reason go ahead.

Just keep in mind SABC is only showing 16 games - Opening game, all SA pool matches, QF & SF (dont know if they will show all), bronze game and the Final.
Easy to sign up - you will need your cell number and a password. after signing up, verification code will be sent to your phone. add code to verify your registration and Bob's you're uncle.

You are an unending fountain of misinformation. There was/is absolutely no blockage of digital terrestrial.

Nope. You just need a TV manufactured in the last decade or so

Yes, I also had problems trying to install the sabc+ app on my xiaomi box. keep getting a message that the app can't be installed on my device. What I had to do in the end was to watch via sabc website using my laptop and clicking on the live channel,(SABC 2) to watch the rugby. The app did install on my phone though.

It's not available on Android TV or any other TV OS.

Only on mobile apps for now, you can cast SABC+ from your phone tho...
 
which are good IPTV services these days ? my current provider has been down since last night and not looking good.

Yeah problem is the SABC+ app isn't available for TV, just for phones and the web.
