Streaming RWC games - Issues/Problems/Solutions

I am only getting Big Jim stuff on rugbypass.tv, same for the app my location is Albania. Can't find the live streams/

If money isn't a concern, what is the best and most reliable way to watch the rugby? Excluding dstv

Traveling to US for work, so want to watch on my iPad while travelling.

Edit: I see I can maybe do dstv stream. R799 pm for 2 streams. Wonder if I'll need to vpn into SA to watch.

Just a pity that I bought the media box for RWC watching purposes but apps like itv and sabc will not run on it. Only rugbypass installed but buffers. That's why I had to revert to the laptop. My phone is too old and temperamental to cast to tv.
A possible solution occurred to me: Stream SABC+ from a laptop to your TV via HDMI cable. Shouldn’t that work? A bit messy having a laptop next to the TV, but better than watching it on your laptop lol.

Yes, streaming Supersport outside of their region would be illegal...

and immoral

Never thought I'd need to VPN into SA, that's like trying to defect into North Korea
Heads up. I was unable to use Nord VPN to SA. MC blocked it.

itv is also an option. Or peacock might also offer a free trial.

So you can try https://www.urban-vpn.com/

For those streaming on rugbypass.tv

Just switch vpn on. Start the stream and then once you are streaming switch the vpn off.

Video is served from Akamai, so it switches to local servers once you switch the VPN off.

You can try a free socks5 proxy from an open proxy list to see if that works.

Peacock subscription for a month would be my recommendation as well. Just have to bear with the aussie commentators

Dont you have a chromecast/airplay compatable tv or tv box? Then you can just cast from the app or the browser to the tv.

I looked in the app, didn’t see any option to cast the video from the app (not sure if that’s just the iPhone version of the app). Not sure if casting from Chrome on my phone will be possible, have you tried that?

Casting icon in the app will only apear once it detects an airplay device I believe. But the chrome browser on your phone or laptop should also be able to cast if it detects the cromecast device.

Yeah I tested it out and managed to open in Chrome and then AirPlay to the TV … gonna try that for the next game

Tried the ITVx thing. Extremely unreliable with frozen images or sometimes only audio. Not bothering with SABC+ (don't have license as I actually have no aerials of dishes on my property) and have a fear that if I create an account they then have the ability (and right) to charge me as I have to give a mobile number. Also want to watch other games besides South Africa

DSTV has taken money from me for the first time in 20 years and they will get it for two months. Sometimes it's just better to pay. Created an account, signed into apple TV, linked and working . Let's hope it stays reliable

Got that package two days ago with my brother. Been down for all but three hours. Fuggem. Watching all I want on Viprow.nu. No issues. Others have complained of security issues. Not noticed. If Multichoice want to call the shots, they need to ensure their streaming service is top notch, or get f'cked.
