Suarez and Evra Thread.

See my edit. It is what the sayer intended not the color word by itself.

I see... but how can we know what JT was meaning if he said that?
People can't read minds. People can assume... but read minds... nope.

Maybe is not good enough.

FACT > Black folks are equally racist as any other folk.

The playing "victim" due to past persecution based on slavery,colonialism,poverty......or any other social injustice's are always the easiest excuse when expecting pity and apologies....
Why the **** don't the racists stop being dicks then?! If you dont want people playing up pity or whatever you wanna call it stop being racist.

There is a bad culture of excusing and defending white racism on the forum. Sickening I find it!!!

JT's subsequent defense suggests he thinks saying such a thing would be racist. No need to read minds he admitted it by way of defending himself

So now Suarez is white?

Or have you deviated from the reason for this thread?

Please please please please please let Suarez get the 20k EPL goal. Please please please...

countdown to the 20k goal milestone for the EPL. Everyone wants it be Heskey. Imagine that...

The question is, why bring colour into it?

And ask around, your family and friends, how they would react to a white person calling them a 'c**t', versus a 'black c**t'.

Massive difference.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, it's Mark Albrighton. Poetically... it's le Arse who concede from a winning position. Long may it continue.

You would have though Liverpool would have been too embarrassed to release such an idiotic press release, but I guess there really is no shame left in self-pity city.

Quite sure they wouldn't have released a statement like that without the full permission of the board as well as having lawyers look at it. Care to elaborate as to why you think it is idiotic?

The press release was also out very quickly after the verdict so I think it was prepared in advance.

Again, show me where it was said that Evra made the claim of racism. Dig a little deeper.

Why do you want the obvious? There are many articles detailing the FA statement, including quotes of fellow team mates that were later disproven.

Chelsea's official statement:
http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~1478240,00.html

An allegation that Mr Bethell had engaged in racist conduct or language was not proved. Accordingly, so far as the charge against Chelsea FC was based on its alleged responsibility for such racist conduct and language by Mr Bethell, the charge against the club was not proved.

Official FA statement on the charges:
http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/NewsAndFeatures/2008/evra_bethell_charged

The FA has today issued charges against Manchester United defender Patrice Evra and Chelsea groundsman Sam Bethell in connection with an incident that occured on the pitch after the match at Stamford Bridge on 26 April.

Both Evra and Bethell have been charged with improper conduct in respect of their altercation. Bethell has also been charged with using abusive language aggravated by reference to nationality/race.

The charges are the result of a thorough investigation conducted by The FA over the past three months. In bringing the charges, The FA used video evidence, CCTV footage and various witness statements from individuals present.

The FA also investigated a post-match incident involving Rio Ferdinand and a Chelsea steward. No charge has been issued, on the basis that the incident was an accident and an apology had been made.

In reaching its decision The FA relied largely on evidence provided by the steward in question. However, Ferdinand has been reminded of his responsibilities.

This is the reaction to the ban on a popular United forum:
http://therepublikofmancunia.com/evra-vs-chelsea-verdict-out-and-its-not-a-good-one/

Despite statements from United’s assistant manager and club captain, amongst others, clearly outlining they heard Bethell call Evra “a ****ing immigrant”, the FA have dropped that charge against Chelsea.

Not sure how much deeper you want me to dig? Surely Liverpool fans do not run everything in football?

8 match ban for calling him a negrito. Wonder how long it would've been had he called him a full grown Negro? :O

Firstly restating lies in an attempt to defame another player, despite their own playing admitting to the offence is idiotic. Secondly, after defaming Evra they then go on about how Evra's opinion that he doesn't think Suarez is a racist should hold some weight.

Thirdly, stating that Suarez was found guilty on Evra's testimony alone is idiotic, seeing as Suarez admitted to it already.

Do we really need to go any further? But to top it off:

LFC considers racism in any form to be unacceptable - without compromise

Naturally... well except in this case.

Not sure how much deeper you want me to dig? Surely Liverpool fans do not run everything in football?

You went through all that and yet failed to get the key point, in that incident it was never Evra who accused the groundsman of racism.
