Locally we don't get it so can't really test it out before buying it.

Going to UK later this year and want to get me one from ebay. Will only have 2 week in UK, so order before even being in the country and have it delivered.

Thinking of getting that surface pro model, pretty decent for the price.

Are they good or should I avoid them? I really want pixelbook, but don't want to spend 999 pounds :(

In the past I've also wanted one, but a lot of people that own them seems to wish they didn't; especially for the newest model.

Manage to find the pixelbook 2013 for quite cheap, might get this was want the super high res display it offers.

Seems it coming from USA, I see some new models on gumtree for around 750 pounds, might just suck it up and get 2017 pixelbook.

I roll with a Surface Pro 4...

as a business machine when you have extra monitors its actually pretty awesome, but as a general use laptop it is limiting. A Surface Book would be a better bet.

But honestly, for what you pay you can get better machines like the Dell XPS range....

Yeah surface look like decent ultrabook and it has super high res screen, which is what I want.

Will cost me just over 600 pounds.

I love dell xps, but I want something special that you don't normally see in SA.

If your goal is to get something that isn't really in SA then the Surface Book is right up there...

If the goal is a machine that fits your use case then I dunno...

With my own money I probably wouldn't buy a Surface Pro... I would consider a Surface Book but it would be a hard sell against the XPS or the X1 Carbon from Lenovo

I bought the new XPS a few weeks ago and compared thoroughly between the two before buying , the XPS was the clear winner.

Very happy with it so far (one week of use).

Yeah it just for meetings and on the go stuff, I don't want to plug out my laptop each time to go to the meeting room etc. Also the normal 15.6 inch laptops the company provide, battery life is pretty crappy and has 768p res screen :(

Seems I have go MS based OS, I forgot I am forced to use skype for business.

We have guys on Macs working happily in a MS based environment with Outlook and Skype and the likes...

+1 I’ve worked for years on Mac in a MS based environment.

Though, after comparing the latest MacBook Pro and the XPS, the XPS was clear winner for me.

I generally agree and I'm bleak I don't have an XPS... I think the only machine that comes close is the X1 Carbon...

If your goal is a decent machine with a great resolution screen.. definitely don't limit yourself to the Surface Range.. many other guys make cool shyte as well.
