Surprising Mxit user statistics

Recent Mxit survey reveals that the majority of Mxit members use Cell C as their primary mobile service

That is because CellC used to (or still does) give you unrated data usage for mxit bandwith. Meaning you can mxit with no airtime or databundles left on your phone...

Cellc does not charge anything for mxit...hence the stats.

They don't charge anything but it seems to get disconnected much more than on the other networks. Past experience, I don't know if they've changed that.

With per second billing you don't bother.
BTW, in my area the most dropped calls on MTN.

This tells me that the average MXit user is in the lower segment of the market (prepaid). It will also be more difficult to make money out of them.
