:D :p

wtf, confusing pointless thread.... sort your issues out between yourselves.

don't bother to answer if you don't want to contribute. some members like to give advise even if it's not taken.

Perhaps it was the husbands mistress phoning you to confess but backed out at the last moment?

Sadly men who are insecure are also controlling and jealous.

That looks to be the case right now. Your husband is insecure about your relationship and probably worries that you are cheating on him or will cheat on him. He might feel inadequate.

That makes him want to be controlling of you, because he needs to know. Knowing whether you are cheating or not would reassure him. Or it would validate his self doubt, and internally he would say, "See? I was right, she doesnt love me."

How would you resolve it? I dont know. A lot of men are like him - insecure and controlling - and its difficult to get them to understand that. You might want to try counselling.

I really am no expert though, I just speak from experience of my own insecurity. So dont let your marriage depend on my advice.

Thank you for making it clear... :)

No, you shouldn't have. I had quite the giggle at the responses so far. It was first like, "your wife is a cheating ****" and then when it was learned that your the wife, it was like "leave that untrustworthy ****er!". :D
bwahahahaha! :D

Thanks for your responses guys. I will see how to go about sorting out this mess.

The cheating part? When I found out we broke up for a year, then reconciled. But clearly there is still alot of issues to sort out or just walk away? Only time will tell.

Update:, the *unknown number* who called turned out to be some Nigerian guy who had the wrong number.
He called again today to ask why I am stalking him (all those calls last night that husby was making from my phone) :D

Ok, so lets picture this scenario:

You & your wife are driving & her phone rings. She answers the phone but the caller hangs up. So she ignores it but you are suspicious & take her phone with the intention of searching for that caller's number.

Wife gets annoyed and demands you give her back the phone & you refuse. You fight over the phone, then she gives up & lets you keep her phone.

Then you start calling that unknown caller & the caller tells you its a wrong number... you are not convinced because wife was uncomfortable when the phone rang & it looked like she recognised that number.

So you start interrogating wife about this suspicious caller & she says to you "since you took the liberty to call the person, why dont you ask that person why HE is calling me?".

Then you try to force wife to call the number in your presence (loudspeaker) but she refuses & walks out. She tells you (again) that you are just looking for a fight & you are NOT going to get it.

You proceed to call that number (all night) until you finally give up.

1. Do you think the wife is cheating based on her actions/response during the whole drama?
2. Do you feel justified to go through her call records & call people that you dont even know?
3. What would you (the husband) do in a situation like this?

edited to eliminate confusion: I am the wife
This is without something dodge in my opinion.
If you got nothing to hide why the issue?
I would take the number and find out who owns that number then get itemized billing on his phone and cross check it on phone bill.
Something fishy ;)
Sorry just saw your update

Well, why did you refuse to return the call in his presence on speaker? Principle?

Because of the way husby forced the issue. The part of him wanting me to return the call was after the whole commotion & by then I was beyond pissed, so I flatly refused.

The husband is the one who has cheated before.
The wife is always either at work, at home or with husband.

And therein lies your answer I am guessing.

The husband is projecting his "actions" onto the wife.

Happens a lot that the partner who cheated becomes paranoid for fear of the other partner cheating out of spite / revenge / etc etc.

Chief Whip it's obvious. He clearly feels emasculated by your nick. The philandering male in him demands that you have a more feminine nick like "daddys' girl" or "syvetkoekie". Chief Whip for future reference I think that it's best that you choose your nick with care.
