Switch 2 thread

Yeah Koodoo is similar in that it belongs to Gamefinity which is the distributor that is still Ster Kinekor for all intents and purposes just structured so that one can take the fall without hurting the other.

There is no Playstation South Africa, just like there is no Apple South Africa (well there is but it's got nothing to do with distribution) and same with Nintendo SA. They all pretty much hand it over to the distributor to do with as they please.

If you have a refund on PSN in SA it goes to some absolutely useless shitty arm of Gamefinity to handle. Same way repairs and warranties are handled by Partserv.

Same way Naspers "unbundled" Multichoice from the main business entity so they can sink that ship without hurting the rest.

One thing we can say for Xbox, is while they do have Prima Games as their hardware distributor they are actually a very real entity locally controlled and owned by Microsoft themselves. Which is also why you don't see much of the other fancy Microsoft hardware locally.

Yeah I hope there are no extra extra costs and the orange man ****ing the world economy as well.

edit: and ****ing scalpers !

Makro, Incredible, Kodoo and other online e-commerce sites will stock it here.

Pricing will be dependent on what they buy it for and resale it for profit margin.

But as for launch day, I have no idea if we will get it a week later. All the ****ers in the first world get dibs first.

Hopefully Hori and even Skull & co have some grips or comfy joy cons coming out relatively soon as well. I loved all my switch’s but **** me those joy cons where uncomfortable.

Koodoo is house Playstation, they won't touch the switch hardware.

They'll sell some of the third party software purely because they have distribution rights from those publishers.

I dunno what's going on, but in Australia a lot of users were surprised AF with the $witch 2 price of $699 (R8400). I see a laser light over my heart (but it's red) so there's still hope... right?

Over the many years of me working in retail cargo and export- SA has always suffered from higher technology prices and I’m afraid it will affect the switch 2 here in SA :(

We can only really wait and see closer to the time how much we going to pay once we as a entity start listing it for sale regionally.

Below 15k depending on the bundle should be a bench mark. It’s also brand spanking new tech which will obviously make it higher in price but should drop off over the next 12 to 24 months.

I think I am jumping the gun and making assumptions.

Let us see the pricing here.

"Free delivery with no import TAX" is once a year. Which leaves we with no warranty.

If I use the correct pound sign, it will be R10 K going the UK route.

If R12K, then I just buy it here.

That and that alone is the reason my second PS5 was a local purchase,

You never know, it could be like one of my Apple IPhones which just randomly exploded one day, anything can happen ;)

I wouldn’t rush if I were you.

Well that is one of the major features people might look for. Battery life can be a non-issue if it's good - decent and people won't make a fuss. But halve the battery life in the next model and it becomes a huge issue.

Bad move by Nintendo.
