Switch 2 thread

Nate says we're getting the announcement on the 16th of Jan. Let's see, I'm quite interested to see what they bring to the table.

Depending on what they announce it will either be a S2 or a Steam Deck/SteamOS handheld for me

Nintendo doesn't bring stuff to the table: we up end the tea tables whilest kicking butts and taking names .

I'm starting to get Wii-like emotions... and I have not even seen this thing yet. I am even contemplating importing the NS2 like with the Wii (depending on local price). I have not played the importing game in over a decade - not too keen.

I have taken my dosage of NaCl with this rumour too. Gives flavour to my tears too,

At this point, I'll take anything from Nintendo

Any sort of announcement will do just to know it's actually real and coming soonish

May/June release is being rumoured. Can't wait

Ars now also reporting that Eurogamer and The Verge mentioned a (possible) 16th Jan reveal:
The reporting also suggests that the reveal will focus mostly on the console's hardware design, with another game-centered announcement coming later. Eurogamer reports that the console won't be ready to launch until April; this would be similar to Nintendo's strategy for the original Switch, which was announced in mid-January 2017 but not launched until March.

Those clock speeds look sus... And the memory entry "Some/all will have the better version" also seems a very non-Nintendo thing to do. Maybe there were manufacturing issues?

Thankfully I'm not invested in HW specs anymore, but I feel bad for XB Series S users - a handheld is gonna run rings around your sorry ass excuse of a console! 🧨

Bring on the games.

I know Nintendo usually reveals things late afternoon/evening our time, but my inner 5 year old is getting impatient.

And of course I'm taking the leak as 100% verified fact that the announcement will be today

I like it. Nope... Love it. Minimalist. To the point. Still leaving you wanting more. Mouse support TRUE.

Yass. Yass. Yass.

Lamest reveal ever, wtf!
