Switch 2 thread

Edit:
Maybe better to get a launch unit...? But then Trump may walkback the tariffs like before? If Trump-tariffs affect the Switch 2 (and other electronics), then US should be the only country affected (not gonna happen).

Its coming from Japan, and we already have tariffs that is why PS5 = R13 000 instead of R 9500 (500 USD)
And Switch = R9000 instead of R6700 ($350)

It’s going to be pricey to make the “switch” from the OG to the S2.

I’ll wait for a S2 lite editon.

We will buy the Switch 2, but gonna be a while before I pick up any games for it.
Main reason for purchase is that it promises to run OG games better with less stutter. Esp the later games that started showing their age.

EG: Running Zelda TOTK on an emulator without any mods was a way better experience than on the device itself.

Yes and no, remember you need to get it through customs without them noticing big ass Nintendont in your luggage.

Oh and the flight to the UK is around R18k.
Yeah the UK flight and stuff I have no issues.

I just wonder if I can do what was done a year and half ago.

"Just walk through customs" they said. "No need to pay" They said. Well I got R10k worth of items through and no extra payments.

So just ask the person to throw away the box...

Interesting that they went from OLED back to LCD.

As if they are planning the mid-gen upgrade already.

That camera attachment is almost as much of an afterthought as the PSVR was for the PS4.

People are always in a panic about customs thinking they are doing something naughty but by and large the thresholds are so high it doesn’t actually affect most people and they are doing the right thing saying nothing to declare.

If you flying there then its no issue. Just toss the packaging and say you took it with for entertainment,

That is how I got a PS5 for R8K back in the day. Bought online and family flew back with it.

I just don't want to ask this of someone and bring them in to sheeeet

Well yeah that could theoretically work, but if they catch on you gonna be nailed at customs.

I tried that with my Alienware laptop years back when I was in the UK and came back here.

It failed hopelessly and I had to fork out like 40% value of a standard laptop in SA retail price.

Hardware wise it looks pretty good, will get one at some point but definitely not at launch.

I haven't watched the direct but looking at the announcements and nothing really stood out, not even the weird ass FromSoft game which...is another MP game from them in a such a short amount of time, what are they doing over there?

Hades 2 I'm excited for but again will come to other consoles once the Nintendo money hat is over. And those game prices..$90 for physical, taught times ahead.
I'm already playing 2. Probably paid 1/2 on Steam of what Nintendo is going to charge. I see Hades 1 on Nintendo is like 4 times more than what I paid for it.

Guess you missed the part to write laptop on exit :p
Or did you come back with 2 laptops?

Cause in all my years of working intentionally I never had any issues, as long as you wrote up a similar item on exit.

In @My_King case all he has to declare on exit is handheld game. Coming back you can then say nothing and have handled game as proof. (Only works if you ditch the packaging.)
