BUT, is that because of global warming, or a natural occurrence like a super-volcano pumping lava up the surface in preparation for another gush that will cause an ice age? Do you have the definitive truths, because I am always willing to listen to logic?
The only reason I am writing this post if because I know you have the ability to understand the science if you look at the information so its late at night and I wanna show you the evidence.
Fact: CO2 is a greenhouse gas. They cause the earth to increase.
Fact: CO2 levels are increasing quickly.
Fact: We are taking CO2 out of the ground and putting it into the air.
To argue that this is not the reason, you need to show us A) CO2 is not increasing or B) CO2 is not a greenhouse gas.
Its kinda really that simple.
But you said you are willing to listen to logic. Is it logical to assume you know more about climate change than the combined ability of just about every respected climate scientist in the world, and every respected scientific institution in the world? Without having any training in the sciences?
An increasing body of observations gives a collective picture of a warming world and other changes in the climate system... There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities.[5]
The main conclusions of the IPCC on global warming were the following:
The global average surface temperature has risen 0.6 ± 0.2 °C since the late 19th century, and 0.17 °C per decade in the last 30 years.[6]
"There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities", in particular emissions of the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide and methane.[7]
No scientific body of national or international standing has maintained a dissenting opinion; the last was the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, which in 2007 updated its 1999 statement rejecting the likelihood of human influence on recent climate with its current non-committal position.[10][11] Some other organizations, primarily those focusing on geology, also hold non-committal positions.

I wouldnt even begin for a second to pretend I know better than all the scientists and governments around the world combined. Either you really are a savant with insight missed by everyone, in which case you deserve a nobel prize...
Or a person who claims better is an egotistical idiot who doesnt realize how stupid they are and you are being used by big oil and big coal (this is not directed or insinuated at you and is completely general).
If you really think you have an argument, please see this website:
http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php
It deals with the most common lies, arguments and perceptions of climate change denialists.
How many of these can you spot in this thread?:
For instance, that climate change is "natural".
- Is global warming part of a natural cycle? No:

One of the most common lies told in this debate by one of the forums bigger fibbers is that global warming is caused by the sun (yes, we all know the sun warms the earth and is the source of our energy, but its not the reason for this temp increase):

Im sure if you read back in this thread you can find the false argument about how the planets warming is somehow evidence that its the sun. As per usual its false:

Finally, yes, we are causing the CO2 :

EDIT : Has the "Antarctica is gaining ice argument been used yet?
