Takealot Vouchers (Begging) Thread

I asked them about the fact that I haven't had any new vouchers for more than a year. This was their reply:

I'm subscribe to the daily deals. But the vouchers I got were never related to that. So which newsletters do you have to subscribe to?

I want to know that as well because I hate spam newsletters but I want the vouchers. I only want to subscribe to the newsletter that brings the goods.
 
I've spent around 30K on Takealot this year and have never received a voucher.
I should stop being lazy by using their easy delivery , I can get things so much cheaper somewhere else.
But its been my Laziness that screwed me over.

Speed of delivery is crucial. Unless the price is substantially higher, and I can wait up to 2 weeks, I would rather buy from TA than Loot (and some of the other sites too).

I asked the same question after the above mail. The reply I got:

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

You do not need to subscribe to anything to get your vouchers.

In order to qualify for a voucher you need to meet a certain criteria.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Feels like they're beating around the bush and have started to phase out vouchers, which is a bit disappointing.
 
So I wonder what the "certain criteria" are?
I have an account that I use frequently, at least once a week; my wife has an account she never uses - neither of us receive voucher codes..

I am fairly certain that the criteria is that you don't order a lot. So the more you order, the less likely you are to get a voucher. Makes sense, since they are trying to convert people to using their store.

Doubt this is true, i got both vouchers recently (ebucks and FNB related though). I use my account often. My girlfriend got the one in the post and she has a fair amount of activity on her account.

Ok, but the eBucks / FNB vouchers are for being an FNB client. So its probably FNB subsidising the redemption of those vouchers. As an fnb client i got them too, but ordinarily i get diddly squat from Takealot themselves.
 
would be cool if TA hands out BLACKFRIDAY R200 off any purchase above R500 tomorrow..........
 
Better if they offer R500 off purchases over R200
 
APP50 still works for me, second time using it. Just ordered. I've never once received a takealot voucher, meh. Been with them for years (Take2).
 
Tried using app50 again yesterday but didn't work for me. Asked a colleague to try it for me in his account and it worked fine.
