Me 2 , deducted full amount , called takealot at that point and the calldesk lady just told me there is a limit , and the discount only
applies if you are lucky to grab the discount voucher before somebody else's payment goes thru.
So in essence , you will never know if you get discount unless the order is paid , not at the REDEEM CODE screen:mad:.
I am really upset with these guys , 2nd time this has happened.

Yeh, that's a bit off. Surely the voucher is redeemed when it queries the code and deems it still available?

I'll see what they say when they reply to my email.

I assumed because the available number of vouchers were already used, but I could be wrong.
Surely the system should have been written to hold a code for that person's purchase , once it has been redeemed?
And they should also surely be able to track what codes I have used like 1 minute ago , and if it worked?

Thats why I use my card which has no online functions first then redo payment afterwards with my online shopping card so these things do not happen :D.

This should really be an ongoing form of advertising for them. Im quite sure KFM is giving them a rebate on the R200 discount they are giving to you as they are getting more listeners, myself included. Let's hope it continues.

I can also see the stations waiting longer and longer to release the codes as they would want to keep hold of the listeners...

That sucks. I'm not even sure it's legal...

It's illegal for them to apply terms and conditions to the free stuff they give away?

I doubt that the stations give rebates. I'm pretty sure Takealot is paying a pretty penny for the air time in addition to the margin hits they're taking from these vouchers.

However, Takealot recently secured R1 billion in funding, so possibly this is the first of some big marketing campaigns from that cash pile

its possible for me to go in now and use instant eft to pay. but I dont mind waiting an extra day or 2. its not urgent

oh ok will be Monday delivery then, if not tommorow/friday or you could pick it up :D

How is Mr.Delivery with orders they never used them the last time I ordered a while back?

Disagree....why pay a station to give discount vouchers when you could just sent out a free newsletter to everyone. Customers will buy either way....KFM is benefitting from this big time...there has to be some sort of agreement..

Would you not think that it would be slightly illegal to say they have given you a discount at one stage of the checkout only to snatch it away at payment stage?

The point of the campaign is to widen their customer base, not to give freebies to existing customers...

My parcels get delivered by FedEx for some reason, in Pietermaritzburg. Today's order will probably be here tomorrow morning
