I don't know who delivers to Hermanus except it's some bloke in a white bakkie, usually the next day too. I just got the flash drive I ordered yesterday.

Surely the system should have been written to hold a code for that person's purchase , once it has been redeemed?
And they should also surely be able to track what codes I have used like 1 minute ago , and if it worked?

Ok , so posted something on their Facebook page , and they called me back.

I explained to them that they should surely be able to check me, redeeming my code, and ofcourse they told me that
they will let their IT and Marketing people check it out.

Lets hope they call back.

Disagree....why pay a station to give discount vouchers when you could just sent out a free newsletter to everyone. Customers will buy either way....KFM is benefitting from this big time...there has to be some sort of agreement..

The point of the campaign is to widen their customer base, not to give freebies to existing customers...

This^
Companies pay for time on radio or TV. It's that simple. Primedia is not in the business of freebies. Besides, how many of their new listeners will continue listening after the promotion is over? Hardly any.
Instead, Takealot is paying to get new customers from those listener bases.

Would you not think that it would be slightly illegal to say they have given you a discount at one stage of the checkout only to snatch it away at payment stage?
Nah. Maybe a bit unfair, but not illegal

I'd be pretty sure it is. I was told my order was R77 before I accepted it with a final confirmation click. They then deducted R277 from my account? How can that be? But hey, I think it's a mistake at worst, but really, anyone else I'd be screaming 'unethical practise' all over the place.

Not at all. But it's illegal to show one price at checkout, and then deduct a different amount from someone's credit card. It all depends where along the ordering process the discount was dropped, and how visible it was to the buyer.

I had the same. They simply refunded me and apologized. They won't honour it...

it was inbetween choosing shipping and confirming payment on mine and showed that discount vanished :D

Mine Today was between card payments choices, first card bounced(old card) as it was set as default , so just choose the other card on the next screen , which didn't show me my ORDER amount or CODE redeemed/discount only choice between cards - havent seen this screen before and them Shazam , after I clicked confirm , full amount showed invoiced on my processed order.

That sucks and if the card bounced leave that page and go to your orders it will still be there without paying full price use that for the next time :D. Then click awaiting payment and check the cost and add your payment if happy or choose EFT or something else like others mentioned at the start.

You can still change payment options afterwards if you choose EFT.

If you all report ghostbuster - maybe they'll investigate and release all his multiple vouchers across multiple accounts to you?
