Takealot Vouchers (Begging) Thread

Just received my R200 Takealot voucher - but I had to buy a Color run ticket :)

First time I hear of such an incident and from Takealot, just a question tho... did Mr D deliver your item or Takealot?

I've actually experienced it a few times with Takealot. Some items I've ordered have clearly been opened and resealed or even used previously. Since the items cost less than R250 and were still all in perfect working order, I didn't feel it was worthwhile complaining about it.

Happened with me as well. My item however was more like a R1000 so I went and complained on Hellopeter about it. They very quickly re-ordered a brand new one, from a different supplier for me. In my case however, it was a marketplace seller, when that got introduced and I wasn't aware of it.

I haven't experienced this with Takealot yet but I did with their sister company Superbalist. The item's packaging was torn and the item had scratches on it.

I returned the item for an exchange and they sent me the same thing back as a replacement!
 
I think they are finding their flash and clearance sales better, not so open to abuse like the vouchers.
 
They have an up to 50% off clearance sale going on currently, "While stocks last" of course.

How long do these sales typically run for? Got my eye on some sports shoes for my old man but need to take him to the shops to double check sizing.
 
I noticed the shoes sometimes stay reducrd as they are end of range. But don't leave it too long.

Damn, got all excited with a tapatalk notification, opened and it took me to page 1 of this thread, tried using the code in the first few posts to no avail *facepalm* better get some coffee...
 
I'm starting to find that on average RARU is 10% cheaper than Takealot for PC related goods, and also with games as well. Unfortunately you have to order over R299 worth to get free delivery which is why Takealot is still better for small purchases.
