telkom 10mb checker updated today!!

so i saw 10mb checker say was updated today.

i typed in my number and boom says i can be upgraded.

so i should probably phone them when i get home.

was wondering my line stats is this.

17dba snr.

29 dba line attention.( know this is not the correct spelling)

both downstream.

should try 10mb first or try 8mb first?

This is awesome news.

You'd be lucky to get full 10meg though, it all depends on which provides you a more stable internet connection; Telkom would keep dropping the speeds until they find the most stable connection for you.

i have though hauwei router that can sync my 4mb at 29dba snr, but wireless is signal is so poor.

i will be happy with 6mb, will use full speed of my 4mb account, making 1080p vids watchable

rather phone now so by the time you get home its already upgraded ... i upgraded recently to a 4mb line from 384, i phoned telkom at around 2 in the afternoon and when i arrived home at 6ish it was already upgraded

yeah its quite a different experience coming from a shaped 384 line to unshaped 4mb. hdd space is fast becoming a problem though ... will have to upgrade my system very soon dont think the wife gonna be too pleased with me.

yeah, i also have an unshape account. uncapped shape is too much for my budget. spending 1K for internet is insane. times are tough and i need to pay the bills end of the month. for the cap account i'm happy ,but uncapped would have been better.

Who are you guys phoning for 10mbps ADSL support? I call 0800 375 375 and they tell me to call 0800 500 200 who tells me to call 10215 which doesn't exist! So it's pretty hopeless plus i called about 6 times today.... the whole lot are useless!

Still not accurate. I know for a fact that some of the DSLAMs in my exchanged are 10mbps enabled yet the checker says NO.

ok they sed i can only get 6mb, now line is syncing at 6mb

i got the same .... wonder if this is accurate at all ... *** hoping it is not ***

*sigh* makes me depressed, still on G.dmt modulation and also shows that it can't be converted and if my line worked properly and could be upgraded it would be so sexy with my attenuation of 11 (down) and 7 (up)
