Telkom 10Meg Line

Anyone else on a Telkom 10 Meg line noticed that their speed have increased as well.

I have the 100Gig soft cap package and these are the numbers I am getting on speedtest. Anyone noticed this as well. Started happening from this afternoon

Allens Nek I believe the exchange is at Clearwater mall - West Rand.

Normally on speedtest I get around 8 sometimes 9 Mbps on speedtest and the router would maximum downstream would be around 12 000 kbps

Telkom never does anything nice so I am abit suspicious about this speeds today :confused:
 
Just read my post and realised I type like a retard, that's what happens when you attempt to multitask
 
try 40mbps enabled exchange ,but your new number cant be activated after 2 and half months cause there's a system glitch they just cant seem to sort or find.So stuck on my 10mbps
 
Still on 4 meg and down the road is 10m as well. With no chance of me going to ten
 
Well, I upgraded to 10mbps and now it's even slower than it was (4mbps).
Tried playing around with ISP accounts to make sure it's not the ISP?

as well ,seems you are about 2.5km out from the exchange ..

Rest seems fine ,do you get a noise when picking up your telephone?or is it clear

No phone connected, only use this line for internet. I tried with my Afrihost account, and it also seems slow. Will spend some more time with it today and see if I can get it right to eliminate all possible issues on my side, otherwise I'll escalate it to Telkom.

Just connect a phone to listen.If it is terrible get a techy out.
 
My 10 meg which was only synced at 8 due to apparent issues with the mini DSLAM is now 10239 (same as blaaislaai). No complaints though.
