Telkom 20Mbps ADSL2+ service

Thanks. I tried the Telkom website link, but this came up when I entered my number:

Telkom website said:

Action: If the problem persist please call the IT Service Desk

Now wouldn't this be awesome if it were easily upgraded to. One would expect some communication from Telkom on this....

I can get up to 40mbps according to them
When I talk to AH they tell me that this is not correct and can only get stable internet at 3mbps.

Your best bet to find out the actual status of your exchange is to ask a technician working there if it is ready for ADSL2+/VDSL, or get TelkomZA involved.

Telkom's online checkers are hopelessly outdated.

The call centre informed me several times that the exchange does not support 20Mb/s. I also received a call from another department informing me of this and the lady was very adamant about it.

Today however marks the 1-month period since the line has been upgraded to 20Mb/s ADSL2+ and it did not skip a beat so far.
