Telkom 4Mbps uncapped Bad & Slow connection

Hi ,

I am existing Telkom customer with 4 Mbps ADSL line.
I cant even watch Youtube video at 240 p quality.
It keeps getting disconnected.
I have to restart the Modem so many times.

What should I do to get a better speed internet connection.
Is it better to move different ISP or is it everybody are same.

You have a line issue by the sounds of it. Post your line stats.
 
how to post line stats and trace... please let me know..

For line stats: Go into into your router and look for "statistics" , copy and paste the figures here. You are looking for figures on Attenuation and Noise margin (SNR)


For a Trace: Press the Windows Key + R and type "CMD" and press enter. Once a black box has opened type "tracert mybroadband.co.za" and press enter, copy and paste here.

That looks excellent, can you log into the router and post line stats?
Are you sure you are syncing at 4mbps? Have you tried another ISP, maybe they are throttling (Telkom).
What Data package are you on and what is your usage for the month?

Just now had chat with MWEB guy, he checked my line and said my line is 2 Mbps and I am paying for 4 Mbps.
Is this a different way of robbing customers......

Dont understand why telkom do this.

Log a fault/billing dispute and claim back.
 
Tried calling them number of times, but their consultants are busy, I think nobody is getting Internet from telkom.
My ping is 1662 ms. I thin no country has this much slow internet for 4 mbps line.
