Hi guys, so ive been on telkom 4mbps uncapped for a while, their p2p speeds are killing me. It seems like they only throttle on some p2p downloads, tv series around 100-300mb download full speed,400KBps most of the time, other downloads such as games, big files a few gigs are very slow 0-50kBps. So i am going to change to a new isp and ideas?
I would like it to be uncapped 4mbps and is there any isp where i can download full speed p2p

Thanks guys

Afternoon, we offer an unshaped service which does not have any thresholds imposed on them.

its a bit pricy, however definitely worth it.

Let me know if you are interested ;)

sure, whats the price for 4mbps uncapped, also do you throttle p2p donwloads?

Depends when you do most of your downloads. If you download at night:
http://www.webafrica.co.za/business/adsl/

If you download 24/7:

You could also try the 10Meg business on your 4Meg line to save some cash.

If you download at night, stay with Telkom.

Schedule your P2P downloads between 00h00 and 07h00.

And keep your TItracker usage bar in the green...

Stay far away from Mweb son they are sharks!

Afrihost is probably the best when it comes to policies regarding p2p.

I have been experimenting with Web Africa and honestly atm WA is your best bet.

AF is experiencing a lot of issues at the moment.

So until they get fixed I'd go WA

I tried their 7 day free trial. Except for the annoying phone calls "how do you like our product? are you going to sign up now?" the service itself seemed pretty stable.
I was actually considering signing up but I guess the numerous complaints by forumites on MyBB scared me away. :p

The principle is what is wrong regardless of if the product works.

R200 per GB
Not allowing p2p traffic
Etc

Urg na they just stink

There are some nice cheap capped accounts out there. Firstly try these trial accounts and then decide which one works best for you:

- Afrihost
- Axxess
- Gridhost
- Web Africa

Some that don't have free test accounts readily available:

- Cybersmart
- Vox
