Telkom ADSL speed upgrades

Telkom will start speed upgrade August and they will finish in September if am not wrong?! :-)

There has been a few posts on mybb from people who have had their lines upgraded , that is why they are asking...

Which exchange you on since it can't be the one in loop street since that is 10 megs
 
I dunno my previous residence that is less than 2 KM away from my new residence is a 6MB line... But my new Residence connects to a whole other Exchange and thats only a 1MB exchange so nope.

but interestingly i told my friend to get a 384k line because they rumored to be upgrading sometime after the 1st June, and on the 1st of June, he was all like "thanks for the tip you rock". I've not confirmed if he really is on a one mb line or if he actually got a 1mb line from telkom and not a 384k, but he's a reliable guy so maybe.
 
Telkom haven't upgraded my lines yet... If I upgrade to 1mb now will I get upgraded to 2mb when they do eventually upgrade my area?
 
Upgrading dsl speed they should rather focus in giving the current dsl customers the speeds they should be getting I got a 4mbps dsl line which has been downgrade to 2mbps because according to telkom my exchange can't handle the speed.Not that I get anywhere close to 2mbps downloads I get like 0.20mbps:mad: slower then a 384k.
Been reporting it they just keep on telling me there is nothing wrong with my line yea right:erm:

This thread is not going to work very well, it will just become a thread full of people saying that they haven't had upgrades.

It should be post here only if you have been upgraded, or commenting on an upgrade.:confused:

Thanks for the feedback. I wonder if new 384kbps orders will automatically get 1Mbps? Or maybe just in Lichtenburg - the capital of Stellaland after all :D
