Does anybody know why the Telkom app is so unstable and unreliable? This is almost always the result of trying to do anything on the app…

I was in a Telkom store today (Rosebank Mall) when a customer came in to complain about it and the staff literally laughed at him…

Been getting this error for a while now. I signed up on 07/07 and only managed to access the app once. On that occasion, it couldn't retrieve my account info so it couldn't display any info either. Thanks Telkom

What I have seen with this app is that it works better if you are on mobile data and connecting to it. Over wifi connection it is a issue.

Yes something is wrong with the app...not showing data used for the month.

Doesn’t this only work, though, to view details of the SIM you are using, not all of your linked Telkom products?
No, shows all products if they're linked. When you turn off wifi, you get logged out of the app. Log in again with mobile data and when you click on products, it's all there.

It’s never worked for me on my android or iOS device.

I uninstalled and reinstalled but still having that error message. I think there are problems on their backend.

Have this issue constantly on the Telkom App, and it's really annoying because my MTN LTE on Supersonic is so bad for gaming in the evening that I plug in another LTE router with a Telkom SIM and need the App to convert my airtime to LTE data.

Try the router app

I'm using the router app (AI life) to send some data to the other sim.

I'll have a look.
Usually I would use ABSA, send R100 to the SIM, then purchase 7.5GB LTE data from the app, which is usually good for about 1 - 2 weeks of afternoon gaming. Except when I forget to unplug the router when I'm done, which is pretty often lol.
At this stage I can usually get in to the app if I press login around 3 or 4 times.
edit: my MTN LTE router is Huawei though, not the one I use the Telkom SIM in. That's just a TP-Link router and won't support AI Life.
