Telkom CEO Leaves

But it now looks as if the Telkom Board gave him the boot. This changes matters...

Leaving the job on the same day as the board meeting means only one thing. He was fired/(forced to resign).

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... Bye bye Papi....

Hopefully a certain idiot named Steven Hayward will be next...:D :D

i would hazard a guess however that recent media statements and the resignation are not unrelated.......
I wonder if it does not have something to do with the Alcatel Lucent signing on 9 March. This article from ITWeb seems rather close to what actually happened:

Department of Communications director-general Lyndall Shope-Mafole has denied wanting to have Telkom CEO Papi Molotsane fired. However, she wants the partially state-owned telecommunications group to operate within policy frameworks. And “I don't want Papi [Molotsane] fired. We will engage with Telkom to resolve the situation,” she says.

I think this has less to do with Papi not lowering rates enough for govt and more to do with the fact that he wasn't getting along with the rest of Hellkom's top managment.

So Thabo is capable of saying "you're fired" even if he got one of his minions to do it.

Stevie next pleaze! :D
