Telkom deal is disaster

ull be outraged at these comments if your starting point was assuming that Blade was intelligent, or supposed to be taken seriously. i think its disrespectful of him 2 comment on a matter he clearly didnt bother 2 familiarize himself with.

At the moment, the Rand really needs foreign capital flowing in to the country. This deal couldn't come at a better time. Our current account deficit is causing the Rand to get hammered.

What the hell has Sasol's profits got to do with goverment?
They're a business, doing well (ok got a fine for price fixing :p ) and are capable on their own!

In all fairness, the shareholders of former parastatals like Sasol and Telkom got a really sweet deal when they inherited companies with billions of Rands worth of assets paid for by tax payers.

What a tool! Good thing this idiot will never be more than a factory sweeper.

Too bad this idiot is a member of the ANC's national executive committee and an MP which means he's got a bit more clout than your average factory sweeper.

Ja, sorry. You are right. Sorry... I shouldn't have insulted the factory sweepers. They are MENSA material compared to this brainless baboon.

Open Secret

Once VF have control of VC they should cease all dividend payments (excuse being to make new acquisitions. NOT) and make the share unattractive whilst the ANC baggage is still around.

What upsets me about the SA press is that they don't report like overseas. Overseas they would have had a headline reading something along the lines of:

"Creature with no brain learns to make sounds"

Slightly off topic, but I see that the term "divorce papers" seems to be popping up all over the show. First with Terror and the possible new party, now this.

If nothing else, the man has created a new popular saying lol. Only problem is, divorce isn't always easy, and can often get very messy once the fighting starts. I do however think that the choice to sell off that 15% is a good idea.

What if the 15% gets sold off, then Vodafone starts to lower prices aggressively, thereby putting Telkom on a weak footing? :D

Will have to see what will happens next...

described as a "disaster" by SA Communist Party
Uhm, guys, have you had a look at a little place called Russia ? There is a lesson to be learned there about what is a failure...

I was happy with your post and your condemnation for this idiot who clearly knows very little about business but then you seem to have used these comments to attack the ANC. As far as I can read the person who made these comments was an SACP member and not an ANC member... Yes, they have an alliance with the ANC but I am sure that some things they say are frowned upon by the ANC.
Blade Nzimande is a member of both. He is the Secretary General of the SACP as well as a member of the ANC National Executiove Committee (NEC).

Notice too that Gwede Mantashe is also a member of both - Secretary General of the ANC and National Chairperson of the SACP.

The is one of the issues raised by the ANC dissidents - that the ANC is supposedly tainted with policies of other parties and has strayed from their original mandate.

Frankly, I don't care. I don't vote.

If you don't vote, you can't complain when idiots are running the country.
1. Read my previous post. I didn't complain. So wah.
2. I am a South African citizen. So I can complain. So wah.
3. Blade Nzimande has repeatedly demonstrated his ineptitude.
I did just complain. And I still don't vote. So wah.
