Is there anyone out there than can explain to me what this means, because I have no idea?

Is this a 100GB ShowMax Capped service....or....a Uncapped Any Streaming Site service?

I never know with Telkom, it can mean a million things.

Any help is appreciated.

Telkom sales, billing, support and their supervisors do not even know what it is.
It will never work! They cannot get it to work. Don't waste your time.
Try some other ISP for a similar service.

It's available on the Free me options. Not sure what you're on about? Netflix was taken off the offerings, but the rest is there.

Hi. Thanks for your response. I'm sorry you could not see the attachment. If you go to this web page: "https://secure.telkom.co.za/today/shop/plan/entertainmentbolton/" you will see it says (and I quote): "Your Entertainment Bolt-On can be used for streaming on Netflix SA, iTunes, DSTV online, Box Office or Catch Up. And let's not forget ShowMax, Africa's biggest and best online streaming service with over 25,000 titles." Further down the page it says: "Visit a Telkom store with your ID or passport and add the service in person." Well, I did that on November 21 this year and was assured it would be activated in 24 hours. I assure you: it DOES NOT WORK. I have reported faults to support, spoken to billing, gone back to the shop, cancelled and re-applied for the service which they have assured me is activated, and STILL it does not work. If you can steer me to someone at Telkom, other than sales, support, billing and escalations (because I have tried them ALL), then I will gladly pursue this further. Please tell me who I can contact to get it working, or to tell me categorically that Telkom cannot make it work.

The Netflix link fell away almost 2 years ago. I've had the entertainment Bolton since September 2016. It works perfectly for dstnow and showmax.
10gb of streaming during loadshedding is bloody awesome

Netflix should be included now that it has been launched on the lit box. I checked and netflix is working again on the freeme lit data allocations.

I'll try Netflix on the Bolton. When next there's loadshedding here as that's my fallback when adsl goes down.

So, can anyone suggest to Frederikus (and the rest of us) who at Telkom (besides those already contacted) will make it work. I hereby challenge Telkom to provide a number and/or email address and name(s) to contact.

Just another thought (because its relatively early in the morning): from the foregoing I gather that the Entertainment Bolton only works on non-ADSL connected devices. Is this the case? Do the "Free me options" work on an ADSL connection?

I use mine on LTE sim, my adsl is uncapped

Does anyone know if anybody from Telkom actually reads this? My challenge seems to go unheeded! Am I wasting my time (and yours)?

They don't read.

Just goto a telkom store and find the competant intelligent staff member. Wait till your chosen prey is available, turn on the charm and let the poor overstressed employee load it for you.
That's how I got mine loaded on a prepaid LTE sim.

Yes, that seems to be the only thing that works. However, my question still stands: "Can the Entertainment bolton be used with ADSL connection?". The staff at the Telkom shop say it can, and confirm that it IS activated on my account. But it still does not work. Has anyone got it working on ADSL or fibre or any other non-LTE system?

If it's loaded, goto your account dashboard, it'll show there

Hello! You have 9329 MB TI Entertainment data available. 9329 MB will expire on 01/01/2019.

Thanks for your patience. Please excuse my persistence, but could you help with my understanding of these pictures:

By "account dashboard" do you mean this one?
MyTelkom welcome.jpg

If so, my "orders" page shows this:
The 2 dates are the times I visited the Telkom shop and requested the Bolton package.
This page does not show what the order is, just "Enjoy your new Telkom service".

Now, if it is activated I would expect the "Entertainment" symbol to be active:

Or is there any other way I could check to see if I actually do have TI Entertainment active on my ADSL account?

The message I posted I obtained via ussd request through my router interface.
That looks like you're using the old Telkom interface, think the beta version shows more info
