Telkom exposes corporate contracts

Here is a bit of shocking ass raping by the cell providers!!

If you call from Cell C to Telkom:
The following interconnect rates (as
referred to in "B" of the formula set out
in clause 5.2.1 of the Interconnection
Agreement) will be payable to Telkom by
Cell C and shall replace those provided
for in Part A of Appendix 6 to the
Interconnection Agreement:
• Peak - R0,21 (twenty one cents) per
minute
• Off-peak - R0,10 (ten cents) per
minute

If you call from Telkom to Cell C
The following interconnect rates (as
referred to in "B" of the formula set out
in clause 5.2.2 of the Interconnection
Agreement) shall be payable to Cell C by
Telkom:
• Peak - R1,23 (one Rand and twenty
three cents) per minute
• Off-peak - R0,73 (seventy three
cents) per minute

One question though, here peak and offpeak times are defined as between 07:00 and 19:00 but the Cell phone companies only give off-peak rates as from 20:00. So that means that they pocket the extra during that hour which relates to the following:

From Cell C to Telkom, an extra profit of 10c per minute is made.
From Telkom to Cell C, an extra profit of 50c per minute is made.

Only in South Africa...

be the tariffs applying to Calls made
during peak time, which for purposes
hereof is defined as 07:00 to 19:00
Mondays to Fridays (excluding public
holidays);

Investor Relations?

My two cents,

I'm sure other people with more insight can correct me, but it looks like these documents are hosted on the "investor relations" part of the Telkom Website -- given the "ir" directory in the full file path of most of the documents...

Doesn't Telkom have (had?) a secondary listing on the NYSE, with shares or ADRs (Depositary Receipts - which are like shares). If so, then they would have to comply with SEC requirements, like SASOL, and disclose a whole lot more in reports to "American" shareholders than they do in SA?

Or otherwise, it could be that this information is available to a select few -- brokers and investment banks, so they can properly do sums regarding profitability, etc, and are more likely to talk the share price up to their clients?
