Telkom Internet ADSL ISP pricing comparison

lol, well you certainly can't complain about Telkom's most recent offerings when you see that WebAfrica are charging ~R800 for 20GB of data... "Premium bandwidth" or not, what a bargain ey!

:) @ Telkom Internet. Now give us a 4MB uncapped consumer offering or 10MB to more customers :D.

Glad to see them giving more, can't say much about other iSPs lol

With Do3, Telkom's R239 for 20GB becomes R141, which brings the price down to R7.05/GB, which is rather excellent if you ask me :)

Thanks Telkom!

I don't feel too bad when I compare our pricing with Telecom Namibia. Their ADSL still starts at 256K and goes up to a max of 3072K. That being said, all there fixed-line offerings (while more expensive) are Uncapped and have no mention of the dreaded "Fair Use Policy".

Also the 12/24/36-month contract options are off-putting to say the least!

Kudos to Telkom Internet! Suddenly capped with Telkom is looking good :)

Agreed Telkom's new tariffs are competitive, but in reality... how is it that Telkom is allowed to act as wholesaler to other retail level ISP's while at the same time it competes with these same ISP's at the retail level. This is a recipe for shina****ns and foul play! If Telkom were trully ethical they would withdraw from retailing ADSL! That way naked ADSL may make alot more sense to them!

So how many people are going to switch from uncapped to capped with the new prices?

Afrihost offer a free gig. Why do you not mention that, and why do you list thier 1Gb at R29?

im surprised telkom is being so generous but glad to, maybe it will give other ISP's a little wake up call and
start moving forward cause the only SP's over the last year that made a huge impact are cell providers
offering BB OTA and we can improve our landline capabilities much much more!

Separate companies. Telkom do wholesale while Telkom Internet is a separately run ISP.

Seriously... how "seperate" do you really think they are? Telkom still sets the rules by which the subsiduary play!

None of this means anything, Telkom need to drop the adsl charge off the line and charge for telephone calls only if that is what the customer requires and does not want to use their adsl package, but as it stands, we pay for Telkom "fastest adsl" and get nothing more than the line for the phone, unless you pay more on top of that to get a few Telkom GBs, so a payment for the phone line, a payment because the same line can have internet on it, another charge to have a adsl package to use on the line that can have adsl because you just paid for it - this isnt right, seriously this is 2012 and they are still treating us like idiots. Telkom along with Eskom have kept this country in the dark ages, all for a few shareholders disgusting greed.
