I received my monthly bill this morning and the promotional content caught my eye.

I currently pay R599pm for a 2 meg uncapped line but the promotional offer is also R599pm but for a 4meg uncapped line.

Can I somehow just "upgrade" to this package seeing as its more speed for the same money? This package can also be taken on contract or month to month if you dont want the router.

I'm sure you can. There might be a cancellation fee on your current contract if you have one.

I take it it would be better to rather go into a shop to do the upgrade as opposed to try and do it through the call center.

Luckily I dont currently have a contract with them.

Most definitely. Sometimes things can go wrong when you deal with call centres.

Actually my last interaction with 10210 switching from uncapped to capped and changing my call plan was handled very professionally. It was just the canned music during the 20 minute hold time that was annoying, best to use a speakerphone if you don't want cramp in your ear

You can just upgrade, I did in January on the 10 Meg promotion. It seems like telkom is dropping their prices.
Phone them and tell them to upgrade you to 4 megs.
