Why is local 4 times slower?

Once the download had finished, I opened up PoE with small degree of hope, as the above results are mildly encouraging:

Top left corner? 2000+ ms...

Just had a phone call from Charl (TelkomZA) to check up on the YouTube situation. Got to say he is probably the friendliest, most straight-forward person I have ever spoken to over the phone. Props to the great service!

Seemed to agree that the problem most likely was due to the YouTube content delivery network being routed internationally and said he would ask a colleague to check up on it.

The performance has been great recently, and everything is working as it should be. Nice to see Telkom back to the state it was when we first signed up. :)

Anyone from Durban notice their ping on speedtest is down to single digits?
My ping dropped from 30ms to 9ms!
It must be because of the new POP :D

I cant say if the new POP has made things better but I havent had any issues in 3 weeks. Lets keep it that way Ti!

Call centre agents dropped the call in mid-conversation twice today.

No call back. Mrs. Hawes, this post is dedicated to you and your work-shy colleagues.

I don't see hope for this company, I'm sorry to say.

My Telkom is as slow as a snail. Cant stream Youtube or Twitch... Barely able to load websites. Sigh at this failure. Anyone know why it still not fixed?

Do any of you have some news for me regarding the slow speed? Last I heard from Ranger / TelkomZA they said they were aware of the issue and had a fix on its way somewhere in Feb 2014... Now considering I am on the right planet we are in March 2014 already and the problem still exist.

So I think I missed some new news somewhere??? Anyone care to give me an update?

TI is utterly useless tonight. Websites, youtube, steam are all crawling. I can't even post a speedtest result as it seem to have timed out after 2 minutes, frozen at 0.11Mb/s

Yeah things are running bad again for me too (for everything), unfortunately.

Trace complete.

I assume hops 3/4 are to blame.

EDIT: Those two hops are there for every website.
2nd EDIT: Even unshaped testing account isn't doing as well as it usually should.
