Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

AH Capped accounts are okay, but the uncapped accounts are severely shaped due to IPC shortage, especially in the South.
Apparently additional capacity will delivered on the 10 April for AH.

Maybe this is true for TI as well?

Although all ISP's IPC comes from Telkom, they are all independent from each other so to answer your question, no I don't think so AFAIK.

I'm on up to 4 Mbps.
I notice streaming issues but don't notice shaping or throttling.
I can get 100% line speed 24/7 on nzb so throttling is out of the question.

You gotta use a paid account if you want to get full speed on nzb's now.
Ti's news server has been borked of late. Most downloads are missing blocks and during the day I was on getting between 5-20kB/s

I signed up for 1 month with sunnyusenet.com (I think it was wingnut771 that recommended them - thanks wingnut if it was you) and no more missing blocks and full speed all day.

Same here http downloads and streaming suck. But nzb's are fine.

But then again on the site they don't say we being throttled. They just indicate we being managed. I guess it just depends what the mean by the phrase "you are being managed"

Streaming currently on Hulu at 480p max quality.
It's streaming flawlessly but at low quality.

Nzb full speed.

This is the issue that I have observed over a few months.
The conspiracy theorist in me wants to believe it is Telkom shafting us and shaping streaming traffic.
I'm honestly not clued up enough to make any decisions though.

I don't have any issues on my 2Mb/s line.

Torrents are fine, even get between 140-210kB/s in day time.
Can stream 480 videos just fine, 720p if I let it buffer for like 30 or seconds at the start.
Normal downloads are going at full speed.
Local & international latency (pings) is also fine.

And still no response from these useless bastards on billing me for a service I now cancelled two months ago.
