Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Sadly, no. 10210 is your only option. They are meant to sms it to you.
 
Thanks guys for trying to help... another 45min to 10210 and another port reset (assuming they did it yesterday) and seems to be fine again

Additional requests - dns, doesn't matter which I use, was still having same problem, local fine, international buggered

I must say I am impressed with Telkom. I switched to uncapped last December. My speeds is very good (except for a few problems about 2 months ago - which got sorted). I get full speeds on my 4 meg uncapped day and night.

I am about 3 Km from the exchange.
 
Gave up last night. Google was taking around 20 seconds to load (both on telkom account and afrihost account)

SMS'd a fault through. Someone from Telkom contacted me today. Told them it's line related.

Hope this gets sorted as it has been 2 months now :mad:
 
Maybe say you want to change your ADSL password...

They finally gave it to me ! :D . Thanks for the assistance. I am now waiting for them to activate the adsl account. They said they will be able to do it tomorrow since their systems have been offline for the last 2 days.
 
Bah... so my interwebs has been great since my international problem was sorted, but now browsing is none existent, every things timing out, couldn't even connect here(had to use mobile), all pings fine, speed tests fine, tracerts fine, but take minutes to load a page or just times out
 
Experiencing really decrepit internet access on Telkom uncapped and business accounts. Not limited to Telkom it seems, as my Afrihost and FNB accounts are just as bad. Sloooooow. Seems to be variable, and affects Google related access in particular. Had to resort to Yahoo! as a search engine. Tough day today. Hope this gets better, was like this most of last night too.
 
Has anyone worked out the monthly amount of data one can download with a 4Mb account?
 
That's pretty good. So it's essentially unshaped till you hit 200gb during peak times?

24-48 hours.
Yep. Even if you decide to change ISPs at any stage, keep your line with Telkom. You'll be glad you did.

I also have Google issues on Telkom since long ago. Sometimes it's fine though.
 
On 2mb Uncapped ?

I have never gone pass the halfway mark but if the graph movement is linear, my guess is 80 gb daytime. I used to do 3.3 to 3.5 gb during the night so that's a potential 100 gb night time for the month.
