Use the telkom chat, did you move? Using a different number than the original? Had similar problem and it was due to the account locked to my previous telephone number.
No I haven't moved, but I did think about that - I have my account opened for use on two different numbers.
But as of Wednesday at 9pm it works on neither of my numbers and neither of my modems. Web Africa works on both modems and both numbers.
It is plausible that something has gone wrong in this area and this is why the service is locked. But they said the account should be ok with either number from what they can see.
I didn't mention earlier that they also tried sending me a new password too - that didn't help either.
