Thought I'd create a separate thread for the doGaming add-on where people can report any issues.

What is the doGaming Add-on?

24 hour uncapped experience on the following gaming servers: do Gaming servers, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Origin, BattleNet and Steam. All data used on these servers will not be deducted from your in-bundle data. Add-on package is valid for 30 days.

I'm currently having issue with Battle.net traffic which is coming off my cap, if you use this service be careful to check this before you start downloading an entire game! I'm still waiting for @ranger to get back to me regarding this issue but as of yesterday the traffic still wasn't being accounted properly.

I have tested Steam downloads also which seem to be working as expected. Please use this thread to warn others if you see usage being deducted from your cap for data from any of these game servers.
 
So how does this addon work???

Is it completely unshaped data 24/7 for games or shaped but doesnt use your softcap data
 
Report them to ASA for false advertising if you are not getting any joy and get rpm or staff to write an article about it. Sadly the more noise you make the better the response, just the way it works. At the end of the day you are paying for a service and it's not being delivered and it's affecting you negatively.

I was just waiting for ranger to get back to me but it's been a few days now with no feedback.

Telkom seem to be making a habit of false advertising lately. This is the second Telkom product I've wanted this month which isn't as advertised. There is a bundle on their site with the incorrect price, when I tried to order it they wanted about R150 more for it (do Elite Plus bundle is advertised at R839 but the actual price it R970-odd: http://www.telkom.co.za/sites/athom.../internetandbroadband/internetanddatabundles/).

I just never know who to talk to with Telkom as their telephonic support is beyond useless which leaves very few other channels.

Well I'm not sure games were every really shaped on a softcap account? The do gaming addon is pretty cool. Yes your gaming is included on selected servers and on psn and xbox live. So console works the best because all that usage is included including the game downloads and stuff like that. On pc ALL steam downloads are included too. So if you have a softcap account and want to download like a steam game or games it might be better just to buy the addon than topping up as the addon is better value for money.

Alternatively you can just schedule it for night surfer times from 00:00 to 7am.
 
Its a gimmick Zoid...you're never going to push enough gaming traffic to make the numbers work.

Maybe if you nuked you're PC and need to download you're entire steam library?

Just go for the TI night-time downloads...those do seem to be reliable (give or take 7 minutes).

I have subscribed to Dogaming for about 2 months.
My granson plays pirate galaxy .After checking the usage found that the dogaming was not being incremented but the data bundle reducing.
After 4/6 weeks complaining to Telkom and no action I terminated the service and requested the Simple Plus service hoping for a better solution.20gigs vs 10 gigs.Because Telkom could not provide a 4meg service to my area they cancelled the order without providing an alternative solution even though I explained that I needed the additional data without being concerned about the 4mb service.
