EDIT: Sorry - BS - not working, thought I was watching a 720p video, but its 240p and buffering.

Looks like some sites are fine, others still crap... starting to feel a bit like February.

Yep, buffering like crazy on YouTube.

Local speed test

Test conducted on 6/13/2013 8:44:52 PM

Download Speed: 1686 kbps (210.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 415 kbps (51.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 153 ms

Latency is ridiculous. Downloads seem to be fine though, but not sure how long that will last.

International

Test conducted on 6/13/2013 8:52:58 PM

Download Speed: 1725 kbps (215.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 383 kbps (47.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 336 ms

Sorry for the repost but losing hair rapidly...

Finally got Telkom to install my 4mb adsl on Telkom Internet uncapped. Set up Unotelly, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, BBC iPlayer etc on my PS3 and I'm really disappointed at the video quality. Never mind HD, the quality starts off really pixelated for a few minutes and gets a little bit better but doesn't even reach SD quality. Speedtest has me averaging at just over 4mb down and 0.8mb up with a dowload speed of 500kbps and a ping of 13ms.

Any ideas guys, was really hoping to give DSTV the middle finger but the current streaming quality is unwatchable

No ideas, highly frustrated, only option at the moment is to wait or cancel it.

I have a 4Mbps line and can easily stream HD on Hulu and Netflix.
Telkom is not my ISP though.

I seemed to average 400KB/s all through last night, but still can't stream anything, and sites are slow.

Is this only a Cape Town area issue? Im thinking of switching to Ti 4mb ....

seems like TI is a bit of hit and miss at the moment. but didnt ranger say they will be applying patches/solutions this weekend? so monday everybody will be kissing TI butt again:love::love::love::love:

The amazing thing about TI is that if they don't feel like telling you anything, They just don't. you can call, say hello to peter or whatever. i think the helpline staff are just as much in the dark as we are. They're hard coded with a set of questions and answers. restart your router, oh it didn't work, I see nothing wrong from our side. Let me forward your call to a number with no answer. Thank you for using TI

Wonder if it is a general problem.

Not for me in PE (TI 4Mbps uncapped), currently downloading a old 9GB SciFi torrent with only 30 seeds in the background which is maxing out the 205kB/s limit I have set for business hours; server traffic, remote support & normal business stuff performing normally.

Tuesday was bad for both capped & uncapped TI accounts but rangers crew seemed to get it sorted by Wednesday morning.
