We will probably make some more changes for Cape Town. The stats on the Gauteng site look good. Please include region when provising feedback. If it is only Cape users (I think up to PE), we are still looking at it. In my case after supper.

Customer behaviour. Nothing else changes. But, note that this can affect both us, and DLAMs.

We made some adjustments around 18h00, there should be some improvement, please let me know if you have seen an improvement or not.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong...

I'm in Kirkwood Ranger. About 80km outside PE. I' m strugeling with browsing, line speeds, high pings, low to no download speeds. My exchange has been upgraded in this year. I do not believe I have congested exchange.

More hits and misses again. I'm in Jeffreys Bay, connected to the EJFB exchange. I can't run tracerts to any web address right now, either.

Sedgefield, Garden route. Joined TI on Monday from Mweb. Not terrifically impressed thus far. Each evening about 4pm everything goes for a ball of s##t. Pages don't load, speedtests, if they load, look like 1997 dial-up days. Next morning, everythings like greased lightning again, like 4 meg should be.

@Ranger: You say nothing's changing except "customer behaviour" then say you'll "probably make some more changes". So what is it? Us or you guys?

This is the first change we have made in 10 days, the previous one was done midnight to 4am on a weekend.

And, we made changes specifically to address this specific problem which cropped up recently.

Changes appled in Cape Town. Stats looking good.

Not in Paarl. Ping fine - but down hardly getting over 300kb on speedtest.

Oh - and fwiiw - I don't download p2p. And hardly stream. I only gained access to userstats today. Consumed a "whopping" 11Gb's already this month. I just want to be able to download updates, use the app store, browse the web and Flipboard, with 4mb speed. Which is what I am paying for. When I get home. In the evenings.

I hinted at that (well, what those who want to download the most migjt be doing wrong) a day or two ago, but it got lost in between all the reports of bad experience.

Are you referring to post 3989?
I'm not downloading 24/7, but my line is very active for a large part of the day.
Am I right in saying that I am managed/ throttled because I use my line actively?
Not sure about my usage atm, but I think it is less than 100GB or there abouts on a 4meg line?

My browsing is okay atm (23:15) and so are speedtests, but that has been the norm the last week.

Have a look at this impressive download speed...

And meanwhile, in the background...

Traceroute 002.png

And lastly - Speedtest....

All on a 4MB line... :(
