I have no issues on 2mb line.
Youtube always plays smoothly.

It works for me, 2MB Ti with 4MB line, although on occasion it does buffer. It never worked when I had 2MB line and 2MB uncapped tho..

My speedtests are always around 2.3-2.5mb

What do your speed tests look like?

I did tests a couple of weeks ago but can't remember what they were. All I remember is that they were nowhere close to 2MB.

Will run some tests tonight and post

Browsing seems a bit slow for me on 4Mbps line in the Eastern Cape?
Tested pings to couple of local sites and BBC as international.
Every now and then there is some packet loss to local sites for me.

Speedtests and trace routes seems okay

UK sites are sluggish although routing looks OK.

... because, unlike traceroute, mtr is dynamic so you can't do a copy/paste

OK you can use -r with -c but I just find it easier to screenshot.

~700MB/45min or 1GB/hour.

The 720p stuff I download (1Mb line) is more than that. Forces me to buffer it overnight...

Log into your router/modem and check the line rates.
If you cannot, then post your router/modem make/model here and we'll assist you.

Mail ranger and ask him to verify it was updated. Else call 10210 and ask them to check what the uncapped account is.
