and the topic of the thread is feedback. So according to some, only positive feedback is welcome?
 
He must just be inundated with pms.
He replied the same day and my issues were resolved much faster.
I generally always log a call with Telkom to get a reference number and then pm him for assistance.

Yes he replied. Asked me to test some things for him. The results which point towards my account specifically being throttled. I told him my thoughts on the results. That is when the vagueness started and the contact ended. I get that he helps out lots of people and commend him for that. But he was buggerall help to me. In fact, he just confirmed that my account was being unfairly throttled. This does not seem to bother him. He is not held accountable in any way that I know of for good or bad service to forum members, so I assume he was just doing me a favour for which I suppose I must just be thankful for.

And you don't think it may be related to a line issue?
Why does everyone just revert to the throttling argument?

Log a call, pm TelkomZA and try to get to the bottom of the problem.

Have you read any of our positive stories in here?
308 gb used by me last month with no speed decrease what so ever.

It is not a line issue because my Afrihost Business account was moving along at full speed prior to their latency issues.
 
absolutely flying at FULL speed. In fact, with another telkom account it hauls a$$!!

Sucks to hear that the DNS change didn't help...cuz your issues sounded exactly like mine when I was still using Telkom's DNSs with everything running extremely unstably and often timing out.

If another Telkom account is running well then Ti must issue you with a new account.
It cant be that hard, OW does it all the time hehehe :whistle:

I can only imagine how frustrating this is for you.

I just find it strange.

To what extent have you abused this account?

In September I did about 120Gb and have hardly used this account since moving to Afrihost.

I really don't know what's going on with my downloads because it is streaming Netflix just fine.
 
Could it be the Windows downloads? Not sure about the size, but on Win7 64 it is 25 updates and it takes its sweet time to install.
