Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

I have Antivirus & malwarebytes installed.
I have never had security issues.
From Windows 3.11 to 2000 to xp to win 7 I have never gone beyond the original service pack install.
Updates cause more harm than good imo.
 
So after battling to get playstation network updates to complete for days - I switched to afrihost and they completed first time! Keeping in mind I have the dns servers set manually so that isnt the cause.
Anyway, now I realised the last time eset virus definitions updated succesfully was october 6th! Thats right, a 38MB virus definition continues to timeout for days!!!! WTF is wrong with telkom internet?? I switch to afrihost and all the problems go away!! :|
 
Not sure what is wrong on your side or maybe its specific to you but today I am totally amazed with telkom and is the reason why I still use Telkom uncapped since launch. The latency in league of legends is stuck @ 207ms and doesn't move a bit...... Very very stable. Been downloading p2p for most of the day at full speed too.

My 4Mbps uncapped account is rocking to be honest.....
 
my ping test and speedtest are A grade, but I'm having problems with psn and virus definitions.
p2p was fine this morning.
http downloads with freedownload manager work at line speed.
I think there might be something wrong with saix upstream.
 
Yeah could be specific to those thing cause I haven't used those types of services this week.....

Please send an email with details (username, windows version, proxy settings, link to a recent speedtest result, just the text from a relevant traceroute) to support at telkomsa dot net. It sounds like there may be a caching problem of some kind affecting you, and we will need someone to investigate. The more detail we have up-front, the quicker the right people can look at it.

If you don't have feedback from someone technical by Tuesday, PM me the ticket number.
 
Any one else have their Uncapped Premium Plus (10Mb) account mysteriously downgraded to a Premium (4Mb)?
Spoke to 10210 and they say they have changed it back but I still can't get back to my previous 8.5Mbps download speeds, stuck on 3.95Mbps.

I've also logged a dispute with billing...

Sorry man, it's a congestion issue, there is nothing Telkom Internet (the ISP) can do about that. You need to contact Telkom (line provider) to get it sorted.

That is extremely slow..... I must say that I do not have the same problem as you..... I'm in Richards Bay, KZN and its absultely flying here with no buffering torrents at full speed and a very very stable ping to Germany of 209ms....

Did the same trece routes now as you and the results are very different....

Then it should have been like that since forever, why today only all of a sudden?
