I have no issues whatsoever from 18:00 in the evening. Watch Netflix every night around that time.
Hi all
I left Mweb before the new AUP and then moved to Afrihost and was a happy camper. It then got worse when all the people who got shafted by Mweb left to join Afrihost. Afrihost has been kinda bad for me lately and im thinking of jumping to TI. I was wondering if you guys are satisfied with TI?
I also watch but at the lowest quality. Some people are OK with that and others not. BBC is unwatchable due to continuous buffering.
Is NNTP throttled the same as Torrents? How bad is the shaping throughout the evening?I'm very happy with Ti. Torrents are shaped very heavily lately, that would be the only critisism I have with them.
When my exchange permits my account runs flawlessly, getting line speed across all protocols(P2P excluded).

Oh it should be noted I am on Afrihost Business Uncapped. Torrents and NNTP are never shaped, but my general YouTube/Twitch performance has been really bad, and I rely on YouTube to watch lectures and various educational content quite often. I also get the feeling that sometimes Afrihost are not willing to help me out, my line stats are great, and my traceroutes show signs of a strong line but they still don't know why my streaming is terrible.
YouTube has been just fine for me on TI regardless of time of day. Its Netflix and BBC that has recently taken a knock after hours.
My biggest complaint.
During the day these protocols are perfect - you can stream in HD high quality without problems (on my 10meg line) but after 6PM somebody decides to throttle these protocols or connections to the CDN's they use.
Without throughput streaming video services will drop down to the lowest bitrate (if you're lucky) and you can watch in grain-o-vision or sometimes not at all.
Ranger - can somebody please investigate. There has to be a technical answer for this problem. Your guys did something to make this happen, it has become worse and worse over the last month.
