My Netflix still buffers like crazy. Switch to other provider and streams perfectly.

Can anyone else comment on their Netflix experience please?
 
Cannot confirm if netflix buffers, but I can confirm that YouTube is screwed. I guess spotify will also be broken tonight.
 
Cape Town: sad state of affairs on TI. Webpages timing out, Youtube buffering constantly. Sigh. One month with a really crappy service. Telkom bill arrived today, I'm considering adding some latency to my payment. Perhaps there will be some packet loss... Assuming of course I can use internet banking to make that EFT. Grrr.

Edit: And no, it's no exchange congestion. Got a 60GB capped account to see me through and BAM, 990KB/s on HTTP. Youtube FLAWLESS HD. Netflix (in HD!) What is this sorcery? Sure, I know you can't compare a capped package to an uncapped package, but there is a minimum level of usability I expect from an uncapped account, and that MOST CERTAINLY is not 6KB/s HTTP download, and buffering Standard Definition youtube and netflix.

So, no, it's not exchange congestion. It's not backhaul from the exchange to wherever this 'IPC' thing is everyone keeps talking about. The problem is Telkom Internet.

Tried Netflix on TI earlier and it was a waste of a few valuable seconds of my life.

What I'm experiencing now is actually worse than January. Far worse... I actually got a rebate for all but 5 days in January. Maybe I should sit on their heads for another rebate during the cancellation period to cover line costs for the following month.
 
FK this I'm going elsewhere. Trying to make hotel reservations and the pages are failing to load. FFS Telkom. Edge on my tablet is faster.
 
This performance now is disgusting. Speedtest.net works fine, a massive surprise but any real world use like loading a page of this forum with adblock plus on and blocking Google analytics etc takes about 8 seconds.

Can you please give us feedback? Please!!! The least you can do is keep us in the loop whether you are still trying to fix this problem on a daily basis...

Everything still running fine for me in Dbn, just did about a half a gig update at full line speed.

If internet speed was a measure of the universe then TI would be a blackhole... How much worse can this possibly get? Simple news webpages timing out... It is an absolute disgrace! I think my 56k was faster than this $##@#!!
 
Things are a bit off tonight, getting dismal speeds for linux iso images.
 
What the hell! It's after 11Pm and my HTTP downloads are being throttled to between 1KB and 10KB. This is the same it was at times during the weekend. This throttling is BS.

Upload Speed: 142 kbps (17.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 304 ms
