My traceroute was to show you what the results should be, and by sync speed I meant check your modem and see if you are syncing at the correct speed. Line problems could result in a lower sync speed and result in speed problems which you seem to have...


2mb - don't know how that helps me.

Don't know how your traceroute helps me either.
 
Forget the crap lines / speeds.

Has anyone tried calling 10210.

It took me about 2hours before I was able to speak to someone.
I was able to put my kid to bed as well as watch Top gear, before talking to someome.

Something seriously is amiss at Telkom (and that is across the board).

Maybe Mybb should investigate.
 
I think Telkom has Gagged all the reps .
Many have been online and have said nothing .

I sent a PM yesterday. I asked a variety of questions (some of which were most certainly not in the sphere of the rep to answer), and the only response I got was 'tracert and speedtest please'.

My previous communications with them seemed a bit more... human?

One of the things I did ask, and I will ask it here again is whether there is a big problem that is being worked on? I'm still not straight on the answer to that one yet, never mind the fact I've been following the damned feedback thread for hundreds of posts now...

At the second the clock hits 6PM, my streaming goes rubbish.

WTF.

I for one am not impressed with Telkom Internet atm. I am moving away to another ISP asap. However, the guys that man "TelkomZA" have been super swell to me. I have dealt with different okes through TelkomZa but I must say they always reply within a day. The reps even got someone to call me now at 6pm to assist in sorting my line issues out. Big it up to this man. Have to give them credit where its due. :)
 
He did reply to a PM of mine.

Great news :mad: At least he's alive and lurking around here. Come out and reply me back! Why is my line been so ****ty as soon as my massive CLOCK hits 7pm??????!!!!! When it reaches 12AM, it produces amazing speeds. Why?
 
It's pretty clear there's a problem, and TI either can't or won't or isn't capable if fixing it at the moment. They also seem to be incapable or are being prohibited from providing any feedback to customers. Do what I, and many others have done and talk with your money. Cancel your accounts.
This is as honest as it gets.... for sometime there has been barely any if not no reliable feedback on the issue, i am sure they have been prohibited from informing us what the problem is so mum is the word and all the while we bleat they keep quiet... unfortunately ... you cannot win, barely any decent ISP's left, not to be funny then you read... the article where Afrihost want to cut pricing? seriously.. pathetic... take the extra money.. use it to provide a better... service.. imo... its gotten to the point if its cheap it's crap... if you pay that much more you get better .. so ISP's stop bleating take the margin but certainly provide a better service... and people will stay with you its not about price all the time.

I have given TI a whirl since January the first, and their lack of communication re this problem is even worse than their service.

Had there been proper communication with an ETA at the very least, I would've hanged around longer.

Now, I ordered my TI account over the phone, received no discount and signed no contracts. Lets hope their cancellation department doesn't do the 30 day notice trick. If they do, how do I get an immediate cancellation?
