After a few days of decent ping/latency playing Guild Wars the lag lag lag began again - was playable only because I was farming, but when I tried moving to WvWvW ... , it was not playable ... , looks like it is back to ****e street again ...

I signed up yesterday morning, half past 9 last night they sent me my login details.
Ive been downloading since then, couple of torrents and an origin game update.

Across the lot of them my average is 200KB, so, so far, im quite happy with it :-)

Thanks for the feedback, keep me posted because I'm also thinking of signing up with them.

Thank you for your advise.

I ended up going for Openweb. Will see how it goes here.

This is true..

//* off to look for the thread someone posted awhile back on the 512kbps download threshold

I've been permanently limited to 50kb/s on all protocols since a few days ago. Tested with ftp, http and youtube.

Ping to the US seems to be 380ms+, but the actual download and upload speeds are really good

Are you sure that it is not a line problem. Are you on TI? If you are I would phone 10210 and ask them to reset your port. Also try turning off your DSL modem and leaving it off for a few minutes before turning it back on.

Have done multiple router resets and port resets. Not sure if it's my line or not but I have reported this to telkom yesterday.

Does this point to an exchange issue?

Wow getting speeds of 633 on a 4mb line! Oh yeah it's B/s....seriously stop ****ing about and fix this crap.

Not sure if it would be the exchange. Get your line checked and see what speed you are syncing at.

Otherwise PM TelkomZa and see if he can look into the problem for you.

2mb - don't know how that helps me.

Don't know how your traceroute helps me either.
