I was on 450GB (up & down) and was throttled to 1mb/s on 16/05/2013. Total for May was combined at 630GB. Back to full speed 4mb/s today.

450Gb is alot of data, I doubt I'll pull down that much in a month. Thanks for the info, now we know where the limit is.

All speed tests came in at 1mb/s so definitely throttling and not shaping.

Only on ADSL for 2 months now coming from iBurst so can live with 1mb/s.

This confirms my theory that if your line is being shaped your speedtests will show your actual speed vs when you throttled your speedtest will show your throttled speed.
Its a shame how some ISP's are blaming shaping and contention ratio's when in fact they are throttling customers....

Glad to be with Ti as we have a sort of clear cut idea of when we will be throttled, instead of being fed the random algorithm thats shaped traffic based on the Earths alignment with Mars and a few other criteria

Every weekday afternoon the same story adsl becomes sluggish, near impossible to use methinks there are too many school individuals with their pants unzipped in front of their monitors lol.

+1 hahahahahaha

These ISP's should really then get a Schoolboy Package where from 13:00 the line is throttled to 1999 speeds. Those days you had to do your thing painfully because the pics loaded line by line every 10 seconds. Damn it was hard to help yourself back then :p

I doubt you will see all issues on that site.

True that, if anyone notices the areas i quoted, perhaps that was an isolated issue that arose during the time there was an issue. :p.

We don't get SAIX notices anymore as you may have noticed. Am sure they working on it in due course.

I noticed that the do.co.za website was down for a few hours so definitely some maintenance performed. We need to look for anything changed on the site. Task for the week folks. :)

Same here in KZN North been struggling to get 5 to 10 kB/s on torrents, and web browsing just as bad, even the titracker doesnt want to load. 2Mbits uncapped Telkom.

Much improved performance tonight 200kB/s on torrents on my 2mb/s uncapped account. The last few days were really painful.

So there's 142K seeders for last nights HBO return, and Im getting 0.2kB/s, very strange. There are seeders from SA with 100% but no reqs being processed.

I have been on their 10mb package for the past month and the last few days have just really been pathetic. The whole day I did not even reach 100k/sec. The past month I have only done 60gb traffic, I am a very avid user yet I am denied a fair product here.

I don't know why its so crap, I spent 3hrs on the phone listening to people resetting my ports, recreating etc. Local speedtests are immaculate, as well as Botswana and other african countries. ANYTHING international does not even make 1mbit....

I have called them to downgrade me back to 4mbit, if this keep on like this ill just move elsewhere... Tired of spending R1200 a month for shyt.

But how many of those 142K seeds have 100% of the torrent? You'll probably find that nearly all have < 10% at this point and only a few above 90%.

Things were definitely stuffed with Ti on Sunday, strange that Speedtest.net worked fine, but browsing local and international sites was pointless, including Play Store on my phone.

Torrents seemed to be 100% throttled until 10pm since beginning of May. Telkom must have changed there throttles on P2P but if you had to ask they would probably say nothing is wrong on their side.

news server was very slow on Monday after the Ti brownout on Sunday.
