Thanks for your input.

Diablo 3 latency (to EU server) is still more than double what I normally get (typical is around 220 ms).

So, the changes we are doing this weekend are prerequisites to improving international latency. What is your current latency, and did it get worse any time in the past 4 weeks. For example, was it better in April? If you can give an indication to when it got worse, that might help track something donw.

Downloading a Youtube video gets around 300 KB/s where earlier, it was around 38 KB/s.

Sounds good, depending what line/account you are on ...

I've now gone the hellopeter route, phoning doesn't help, logging a fault doesn't help - and I need to do work.

Check this BS, and why does it shy Internet Solutions? 10MB line/4MB uncapped

Don't know if anyone else is getting this...but every couple of minutes: "This webpage is not available"

Please try the following (suggested by ranger when he went off the grid in March).

So, for any of the issues I have been looking at for users here, please:
1)Send an email to [email protected]. You should receive an auto-reply with a ticket number. Please include your internet username, the telephone number of the ADSL line you are using, and sufficient technical detail (the better the quality of the information, the better your chances of a quick resolution), e.g. traceroute, URL of a speedtest result indicating the problem etc.
2)If you don't have a resolution within 2 business days, or if it is really urgent, include the ticket number from (1) in a message to @TelkomZA on twitter or TelkomZA on Facebook

Welcome back ranger :).

Third month with Telkom and they've been, for the most part ok. But I'm on my second day with 50kb MAX on a 2meg uncapped. CPT

I did that yesterday.

I'll do nr 2 tomorrow - but whats the point if everyone is having issues, when you phone Telkom ISP they blame Telkom, Telkom says nothing wrong.

Sorry for the silence from my side. We have been doing a lot of work over the past 4 weeks.

Since last night, we have been investigating some performance problems, and about half an hour ago, we found that one of the changes we made (either early this morning, or the previous morning) has impacted the experience for everything but P2P negatively.

We made some emergency changes, for Northern and Eastern regions at 14h20, and for Southern regions at 14h30.

As far as we can tell, this has massively improved the experience for web browsing, http/ftp downloads, video streaming etc.

Please let me know if your experience has improved.

Looking good on my side now. Thanks for the update !

Please bare with them. Am on the same package as you and you should not be getting those speeds. This seems odd considering my speeds are back. Please try nr 2. :). I am not going to say that i know how frustrated you are because i don't know but the least is i can help from what i have read on here.

I think that speedtest showing IS is nothing to be worried about since it is only IS's speedtest server that you did a test on.

My download speeds have dropped to 8-20Kbps since sunday morning, browsing also shot to pieces becomes barely usable 1 meg line.I also have to phone once a week to have noise reduced on my line.I am having such a ball on the internet NOT.
