Got a link where he said that?

If you read on further you will see that Ranger is saying that the throttling thresholds have changed and those that do the bulk of their downloads during the less busy periods will now find that they can pull more data than previously.

on 4 meg uncapped. service been great.

Got 400 Gb combined and turned orange on titracker.

Service running smooth and great.

Bearing in mind that people got throttled at +-450gb on 4MB, so I dunno if this is proof that the goal posts have moved but I'm sure 400gb would have placed your usage in the red zone.

I`m on 2meg done about 280 gigs still green.

I`m on 2meg done about 280 gigs still green.

Somethings def changed then. When I was on 2MB i hit red at 220GB.

Personally I welcome the changes and think its gonna make for a better experience especially for the guys on 1MB who get throttled at 100GBs.

Because of dslam congestion I find I only get max speed after 11pm anyways, so I now do all my big downloads after 11pm

I just switched over to Telkom 2MB uncapped yesterday. Ran some speed tests and the highest I got was 1.5MB. Most of it was just over 1MB. Is this normal?

Then ran some tests on my old Mweb 1MB uncapped account and got about 0.8 MB.

My connection has been rather stable... but instead of getting crap speeds, I'm getting repeated dropped connections while streaming.... it will be fine for 10 minutes, drop connection, re-connect, re-buffer - and off it goes again.

Ranger, were Google issues resolved? I'm still waiting minutes for somw web pages to open.
Wanted to download a driver from Nvidia and sat there for almost 3 minutes.

Streaming pre 9pm is awsome, post 9pm not so great. I guess it could be everybody internetting and congesting MY dslam. :D all n all TI has been great for the last week or so.

My TI uncapped experiences the last 3 weeks and counting.

My experience this month has been horrible.

These videos depicts how I struggle to open a web page with Telkom uncapped, but same pages act normal with other ISP's.
I've got a couple of these videos, but it upload very slow, so for the moment, just 2 videos.

Opening Nvidia driver page with Telkom:
You will see how at the bottom left the page just standing still. Sometimes it times out. Sometimes it is basically a text page, with no graphics.
It can take up to 5 minutes for a page to open.

The video quality is not great. You might have to watch in 720p.

I can only post one video per post, so the next video will be in a new post.

Speedtests for local seems okay at 3400kbps.
Speedtest for international is between 2600 and 2900kbps, which is below my normal speed.

The joys of Telkom BROADBAND on a Saturday afternoon.....

Never thought the day will come where I actually shut down the PC as the internet is just useless.

impossible.

I am being "managed" and getting +-35-40 kilobyte per second speeds. Downloading torrents. 1MB account.

Telkom please fix adsl congestion in dougladale , complaint #127.

TI seem to have made some changes to TI Tracker this month. I'm currently on about 230GB on 4Mb uncapped and would usually be orange (+/- 50% on the bar) by now but I'm still in green (+/- 30%):

Possibly because I limit my download speeds (torrents & http) and don't download 24/7?
