I'm finding it impossible to stream twitch.tv and youtube streams (which stream from international servers). YouTube locally cached videos are fine (can watch 1080p with ease). SpeedTest results show 221 ping to international (London) 5mbps down 0.67 up. Local show 37ms 4.00mbps dl 0.86 up. Seems the culprit is something along the way is broken. Chrome, IE, Firefox and Opera (tested on multiple PCs) only download stream at ~70KB/s, which is ridiculous.

Telkom do 10mbps uncapped

It kept going on

This has been the 1st weekend in a long while that my internet has been running great.
Since downgrading to 2MB uncapped (4MB line) I have found my connection to be very constant.
Speedtests are around 2.3 - 2.5MB consistently. Whereas before I'd get sub 1MB over weekends and during evenings during the week.
Torrents and HTTP downloads running at +250kbps :D

I found that I can actually stream some 720p movies on XBMC without bufffering (I know, I'm shocked myself)

All smiles here right now.

Does Telkom give out trial accounts. I am currently on FNB and am looking to test Telkom uncapped.

Noticed on my invoice that I did indeed receive the discount for the do bundle and the 25% discount on the line giving me a wopping R272.70 discount

Just pulled the trigger on my lock-in for 12 months - 25% discount should kick in at the end of the month... Every little cent helps! :)

Probably a stupid question... Can't see on your pic. Does this 25% discount get added to the R95 discount Telkom is offering or does the R95 discount fall away? Also, does this 25% discount get subtracted from the whole accumulative bill or is it only a percentage of either adsl or line rental/closer plan?

I was lead to believe it's a discount on the line rental, whereas the discount highlighted in cavedog's pic is a discount on the data bundle. They are concurrent. Win/ win, in other words!

The discount is on the adsl line rental portion and then there is another discount for the data bundle.
