Anyone having torrent issues?

Slow to non-existent here. Thought it might be my download machine or torrent client but the same goes for my desktop. Tried torrents with very high seeder to leecher ratios.
Checked my router all is good, speedtest and other downloads run at near line speed.
Edit: No I'm not throttled.

Any ideas?

Maxing my line out, again LOL

100% correct. Right now they will not deviate from their planned rollout of MSANs. Existing network will not be upgraded unless there is a compelling business reason.

I soooo wish that wasn't true but unfortunatley it is and all we can do is suck it up and take it up the a-hole

Does anyone know if there's a link that shows Telkoms planned MSAN upgrades?

Just dropping by to wish Telkom and all their CEO's burn in hell for exorbitant prices, price-fixing and monopolizing the ADSL market. Once I move my ADSL line to my ISP, I'll never give Telkom my business ever again and I will recommend others to do the same. Rot In Pieces

Well be sure to drop back in and let us know what your experience with your new ISP is like

Anyone else still having problems? This whole week my 10Mb has been terrible. Can barely stream 360p youtube videos, or download above 50KB/s.

I'm on a 4Mbps line in the Eastern Cape and it was mostly very good the whole month. I think I had one day where browsing wasn't good at all, but the rest was good.

Pings are borked tonight but download speed and streaming seem on point :wtf:
Anyone else without latency probz?

http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2310539265.png

43ms to Cape Town via my wi-fi.
That is normal for me.
Not sure if I can direct it to Rosebank on my cell.

Edit:
Did a speedtest from laptop to Johannesburg and averaged 100ms.

That is about 20ms higher than my average if I recall correctly, but I don't do the Jhb test regularly.

Saix speedtest suggest all ok - but app updating through iTunes is crawling - though I haven't been paying proper attention to what Ranger et al have been saying, so maybe that's par for the course until after 00:00?

4mb uncapped, Paarl.

[edit]. Scratch that. Updates chugging along nicely now. Just started slow.

Darn it, and again I'm starting to be greeted with false missing placeholder images around the web...

what was that DNS ranger said us people in Durban should switch to again?

Telkom is really becoming annoying.

On any given day, at any given time, the latency will just shoot to 500ms and stay there for hours. Everything will become slow.

AND NO. It's not congestion.

Mweb / afrihost / Telkom, all seem borked at the moment. Where does one go now? Maybe openweb? Ffs, I just want decent Internet!

In my experience, problems arise more from Telkoms infrastructure than from Ti the ISP.
