Oh man... huge FAIL on my part...

At least its only been from friday, mine have been rubbish for 2 months now. This is depressing.24/7 with speeds not exceeding 10KB/s, dont understand why im being throttled this badly.

Yes, that is one thing that using the guest account also hides (since the other traffic can't connect). A few times I have been troubleshooting someone's slow connection to see they have some backup service congesting their uplink.
I was going to comment that the problem seems to be before us, but that can include both congestion caused by the customer, or congestion on the DSLAM.

Was there any improvement today?
I have my torrents scheduled for 00h00 to 06h00, so I usually don't see how torrents perform during the day.

Nope, still deathly slow. Everything else seems to be working perfectly.

You won't be throttled for 2 months. If you were throttled in month 1, your account would be reset on the 1st of the new month.
You can check your usage stats to see if you are throttled. If your usage bar is red, then you are throttled. If it is green or orange, you are not being throttled and something else is wrong.

I signed up for Telkom Simple Uncapped. Land line rental, ADSL Line Rental and 1MB Uncapped Account all for R514. I still printed out the web page because I knew this day was coming. Problem I have, is that my monthly account has never been R514. I get billed R523 per month. I paid one day late in one month and was billed another +-R10 (+-700% per annum interest rate if my maths is correct) for late fees. Is all this correct? Advertise one price and charge another? R10 isnt much, but I just don't like the feeling of being ripped off. -+700% per annum interest rate is also not sitting well with me.

Everything is fine here by me.I set around 14GB of downloads this weekend and tested my 1mb line just now and its a bit faster than my normal speeds of 0.87mbps,maybe the 14GB download opened it up a bit

Same here, been dead since Friday for me.
Yet youtube streams at 720p without buffering.
Maybe the problem is localised to Cape Town and Durban?

Seems to be the case as my ADSL is also on strike as of this morning. Has been running like the clappers for the past 2 to 3 weeks without any problems whatsoever but since this morning a dailup will beat it hands down.
Just did a speed test from here and it gave me a ping of 256ms to local server and that is as far as it went. Speed test never started and returned a page load error.
Seems to be the case as my ADSL is also on strike as of this morning. Has been running like the clappers for the past 2 to 3 weeks without any problems whatsoever but since this morning a dailup will beat it hands down.
