Torrents been slow during the day this weekend passed. I suppose it was running full speed during the night since everything was downloaded.

Nntp runs full speed 24/7. Cape Town area.

I'm so used to everything running full tilt, now I cant handle it when it's not

Stopped my torrent and nzb to run a speedtest.

Restart my torrent and its running like the clappers

:wtf: Does not compute!?!....

Plz stay like this Ti

EDIT: NZB improved marginally to 40kBps

I used to find that a lot on torrents:

50,000 seeders, 5kbps download.

1 seeder, 22 peers, 200 kbps download.

Never could figure it out. I guess it's just the hit and miss nature of P2P.

Refreshing the entire tracker list often helped for me. But the biggest help has been changing to nntp :)

I've always found my torrents ran at line speed or pretty close to it.
It was so good I actually started using NZBs only on a rare occasion.

But today NNTP is still dead slow, oh well we cant win them all can we

left a 700MB nzb to finish downloading this morning when I left for work. got home just now, and its still going at 20 kilobytes per second.

First week done. So happy I went for Telkom. Thanks to Ranger also for his assistance the other day!

You won't be throttled for 2 months. If you were throttled in month 1, your account would be reset on the 1st of the new month.

You can check your usage stats to see if you are throttled. If your usage bar is red, then you are throttled. If it is green or orange, you are not being throttled and something else is wrong.

Hope its problem because this what telkomza said

"The test account proved that your problem is not line or exchange related but due to shaping on the ISP account,
Please refer the user to the AUP, and recommend that they schedule their P2P for off-peak (23h00 to 07h00).

Downloading at (23h00 to 07h00) gives me speeds that are less then 10 KB/s, This has been happening for 2 months. This month i havent been able to download 1 gig. Depressing.

So, have you reported it to the ISP (e.g. via the report an ISP fault for at http://www.do.co.za or by email to support at telkomsa.net)? If so, please PM me the ticket number.

For a while yesterday I was beginning to believe that Ti was now going through the "slow down" that OW and AH clients are complaining about.

I'm glad to see that we aren't :D

Sometimes seems as though Telkom is the skapegoat when things go bad LOL
